Yes. Since the Supernova aspect of the power kills you, it can be assumed an actual Supernova would do the same thing.

Is the defender impervious to explosions? No? Then yes the supernova will do damage to them.Gimpdaddy wrote:Just to clarify, If your opponet went supernova and you had APS:Fire, would their supernova harm the defender?

Re: Supernova vs. APS Fire
The question then i have is, IS it truely an "explosion" . Cause if you read under the major power of Self-Explosion. You can do almost the exact same thing except that power its actually an Explosion.
Since APS fire states its a "Fiery Explosion" presuming its just all the amassed heat bursting outwards for its range.
And Self Explosion is and "Explosion" Which is also less damaging than the fire, But still very consequential.

If it describes it as a "Fiery Explosion" or refers to user as "exploding superbing", then yes, it is an explosion.

what!! at best it is a fire blast (ok so possibly some impact due to massive heat expansion) at best the 10.000 points will be reduced to about 100 for impact as most of the blast will be "fire damage"
Do oyu even know what a supernova is? It is an explosion, a REALLY BIG explosion.

well, i would say that the writer took some liberty with naming that aspect of APS: Fire "Supernova"
comparing the explosion of a guy covered in fire to the astronomical event is a stretch.

Not totally. The idea I get is of a character igniting so hot he blows up, not simply someone blasting fire.

The Fire and heat from the supernova would not kill you.
The massive pressure wave, impact, and shrapnel will, however.

Can't believe I'm gonna say this but...
Nekiras Right!
The heat is so intense that, even under the best of circumstances (like in space), the thermals will hit you with such force that you're gonna take Some kinetic damage as well, But on Earth the "best of circumstances" don't exist. You're surrounded by air and that air will inginte and (like Neky said) will turn into a Massive shock wave that will do hundereds of points of KE damage, and the Shrapnel from debris will finnish the job.
At point blank range (10ft+/-) the heat will hit you like a ton of bricks... Even in space... Enough to kill you.
Still, the force should be nowhere near as great as 'Self Explosion'. In fact, Self Explosion will create some harsh heat itself but in Both cases no more than 10% worth of damage transition into the others turf should take place, and that should decrease allot (like to 5%) after a short distance out.

Problem is I used Placebos "Running Up that Hill" to get Catherine Wheels "Black Metallic" to get Monorals "KIRI" to get Dan Balans "Crazy Loop" out of my head in the first place.
