New Campaign Idea (advice welcome)
The Date is June 6, 1944
Your landing craft hit the beaches and you pour forward, your rifle in your hand. Machinegun fire cracks above your head as you lurch forward. You crack off several shots as you slowly make your way from the sands to the first defensive positions. You dig in ready to fight when you first see it. The Gray of the German troops.
You fire off and hit them in the chest. They lurch back but do not fall over dead. You fire again and once more hit them in the chest, once more they to not go down and still come forward. It is then you get a good look at your foe and realize they were already dead and that is not stoppiong them. Welcome to World War 2 an Era of Darkness.
What is campaign is about is the struggle against darkness. The characters are solders during World War 2 and the tide is turning against Nazi Germany and her fellow Axis countries. In response the SS and the Thule Society unleash a new kind of warfare against the Allies, weapons born of the fires of hell!!!
Now the characters are members of the S.O.E. (Special Operations Executive)(also known as the Baker Street Irregulars) special joint anti supernatural force. Now it is up to the characters to counter the terrors of the Outerworlds that the SS and Thule Society will bring to bare.
And it is up to Task Force 13 to fight back.
I’m starting a campaign on this basic premise using the following books
Beyond the Supernatural 2nd edition (for most of the stuff)
Dead Reign (mostly for Zombies and the Solder O.C.C.)
Compendium of Contemporary Weapons (for some of World War 2 small arms)
The 2 Minion War Books (for some of the bad guys)
Some of the Nightbane books (for other supernatural horrors and possibly magical items)
It will start out on June 6th and everything that happened historically to that point remains the same, after it the gloves come off.
I just looking for some ideas and input on the adventures (which I will be posting here in the forums after every session about once every 2 weeks). Also if anyone knows of a web site that has Palladiums stats on World War 2 equipment (need German, British, and US mostly but all are welcome.)
So any ideas???

I've got an advanced pre-rifts energy rifle, A soul drinking rune blade, living bio armor, and a hover truck full of nukes. So why do I feel under equipped for this??? (Sir Joe the Gardner 7th level Ogre Keeper of the garden on his first encounters with the Mechanoids)

Yes.
But I am roleplaying their first encounter with the supernaturial during the Normandy beach landings and it is their actions during the landings against the supernaturial creatures that leads them to joining Task Force 13.

Savage Worlds has their Weird War II series which does a similiar campaign. Worth checking out for ideas. Also, there is a cool boardgame called Tannhauser that may give you some more thoughts. There are a couple of fan sites for both. There is also a very interesting RPG called Cold City which deals with Berlin in the aftermath of a supernaturally empowered Third Reich that might be useful to pluck out some themes.

This sounds very fun and interesting.
I'm not very original and like to plunder books, movies, comics and other games for ideas all the time.
Spinachat has already mentioned a few of the items that I was going to recommend. You can also add Hellboy to that list of sources to mine for ideas and adventures.

Re: New Campaign Idea (advice welcome)
That is something thats always bugged me.
Palladium needs a World War 2 RPG or at least a suppliment.
I always thought Beyond the Supernaturial was ideal for it considering how involved the Nazis were in Occult research so I am just expanding on those ideas.
Mind you I am going to be altering history from the point of June 6,1944 on so the player characters are going to be earning their exp.
Plus I been thinking about including some aspects of the books the Fox on the Rhine and Fox on the Front by Douglas Niles & Michael Dobson.
So far it will be european focused at first but if they like it I may send them on a couple missions in the pacific theater.
So at this point I'm considering all options.

The modern weapons compendium includes a number of weapons that served in WWII or enough information about similar weapons to extrapolate them.

Le Dude wrote:In regards to stats for WW2 weapons in the Palladium universe, I can't think of any sites that have them. You might have to come up with them on your own.
Since the damages for bullets in Palladium are skewed, I suggest using Kitsunes damage tables for conventional ammo.
As for stats on the weapons themselves, they can be found online. This way you have the correct range for the weapons used in WWII.

Well its D day. Maybe the opposition are vampires, hunters or Nightspawn that are not going down. The whole platoon is wiped out and your PC's get hit bad. They to should be dead but theyre not. They wake from their unconsciousness to find they are full of energy, fitter stronger, more vibrant. As they look at their squad mate they coil in horror. Has he been turned in to vampire or some other monster? Why is he recoiling from you?....
You are both Nightspawn who undergo your becoming on the beach! It saved your life but now its is up to the few supernatural survivors to take down the German/supernatural minions and stop the attempt they were making to unleash enough PPE to fuel their ritual to breach the mirrorwall once and for all!
Could it be that D-Day axctually stands for something else (Dark Day) and that your PC's have postponed the invasion of earth for 60 years?! GJ if they do!

Also include the fact that Hitler was into the occult and could be a priest of night (the pope equivalent?)

Actualy Henrick Himmler is the Dark High Priest. One of the main points is that the SS did take the lead in Occult research and as such when it comes down to it their the ones directly responsable for the Nazis access to such thing in game.
as for out right stopping dark day not sure was not planning on including that much for Nightbane but it is something I will consider.
