Turn it around, it's not your char that has to roll under their MA%, it is the other char that has to roll over your char's MA%.
I base this on the only text that describes how to use the MA% number. It is found in the descriptive text for the "Warrior Spirit" Kata in Ninja and SuperSpies.

Note: This explanation is disputed by others here who say that the explanation in the Warrior Spirit kata only explains how the kata works.

Actually, there is no way to resist trust/intimidate or Charm/Impress.

On the other hand, they don't DO anything, so there's no real need to save.

The Warrior Spirit Kata actually DOES something, which is why there is a save.

Yes, there is no Resisting being intimidated or trusting, as if it was a choice. There is just "you are" or "you are not".

As for any possible bonuses, you can convert the ME d20 bonus into a % bonus for the roll vs the MA%.

Yes. Because you don't actually have to do it.

I'm not saying that you can't resist MA/PB rolls, i'm saying they don't do anything. not a single thing. The only thing it effects is roleplay.

I agree with Nekira here (again). I did an article in my Rifts Blog explaining it (as always, click on the upper-right translation button for an automatic google translation).

For things like this, as well Public Speaking in Palladium, I use Save vs Insanity as a proxy to resist it. Now, just because a save or successful failed rolls are made, dosen't seal the deal, the characters gotta give me something to go on, a bit of an in character back and forth, but the roll results gives me some indication of how the NPC should be reacting to reasonable ideas (Reasonable, you can't just use Charm, pass check and say "Gimme your credit card and weapons please!" and walk home a rich character).
Getting a mage to tell you where the hydra is...10,000 gold
Hiring a summoner... 40,000 gold
Hiring one hundred 10th level mercenaries... 98,567 gold
Giving a hydra skull to your necromancer... priceless
