I don't recall the exact number (lent it to a friend so he could devour the book being our groups resdent wizard player), but something to the tune of 15 spells for the standard invocations, and another 15ish elemental spells (maybe a bit more, someone else can give a more accurate count).
Best spells are of course a bit opinionated as to what the group does, but the one that stood out is Reverse (Turns your bonuses into penilities), which gimps any skilled soldier instantly and basicaly ends but low end bar fights which a Fire Gout works just fine for

however I think Cloud of Slumber was listed twice, and there were some listings that were "same as the spell in this other not PF book so go look there for the full text of the spell"
