Hmm... I wonder if the doors they use were Hardwood or just those dinky little things that most people use nowadays... You have almost persuaded me to finally watch my B&W copy of Night of the Living Dead, that I got for Christmas last year.
Anyway I can't wait for more.

Thanks. I wanted to make this story different than the last one I wrote. The last one was more adventurous, and more about finding out what caused the outbreak, and things like that. This one I wanted to be creepy, and tense, and to have an aura of fear. I wanted it to be a little off-center, so that when you are reading what our main character is writing you are a little creeped out. Like you're almost there, feeling what he's feeling.

Save the bleach!
A 1 gallon bottle of bleach and treat something like 5,000 gallons of water. That is a lot of fresh water you have, and in a world with unreliable plumbing and questionable water sources...
Use 8 drops of bleach to 1 gallon of water, let stand covered if you can for 30 minutes. If the water has a slight hint of a chlorine smell its good, if not add 8 more drops and wait 15 minutes and smell again. You don't want a powerful chlorine smell, just faint. If it is a little powerful either dump and restart, or wait a few more hours to drink. You can aerate the water to speed up the chrlorine evaporating from it as well.
Great story though, keep it coming.

Wow, this is what i get for not checking the boards. I'm really loving the story Leon! This is a really good character.
While i'm not a dog person, i miss him too, hope he gets more dogs and avenges Shifty.
Hope you and everyone on these boards is having a good holiday and that you all have a safe and happy New Year's (try not to over do it with the booze now )
I miss Shifty. Saw his poor, mangled body when we hit the truck. I promise that I'm going to get a few dogs, and I'll teach them how to make the zombies pay for what they did to Shifty...

If this is a Greyhound bus they have power access for passengers and there are portable refridgerated coolers.

It's a school bus, not a greyhound or other recreational vehicle.
Thank goodness, i'm not sure if i want to be on the dog in the middle of zombieland.

There's still power access at driver station.

Not all Insulin need to be kept cold. My wife's insulin doesn't need refridgerated, she keeps it in her purse. Main problem in DR would be finding supplies and a doctor to help you adjust dosage every so often.

Not to derail this thread any further, but I self adjust my dosage.

Anyone else get the feeling Ebbs is about to fall prey to.. "friendly fire"? Makes you wonder, in an apocalyptic setting like this.. how many initial casualties were caused by people settling grudges under the cover of the end of the world?

If this scenario ever happened with me and/or my friends, Ebbs would have already been taken care of. Nothing friendly about that fire.

What, he was just applying the old "I don't have to out run the bear, I just have to out run you" punch line?
'course when I caught up, he'd be out running Betsie, and that ain't the name of my dog.

hehehe...talks about a dead story in the Dead Reign thread. I can't help but chuckle. It's not dead, it's just dormant waiting for new energy to come along! LOL!

The story is NOT dead. I've just been focused on other things (like the superhero tournaments). I just haven't had the time to do any updates lately. Believe me when I say that I am looking forward to getting back to doing the story soon.
I'm going on vacation the 1st of March, and will be whole-heartedly committed to doing this story without interruption when I get back from that.
You had best or I will cut you
