Re: what would ?
It would work... it just wouldn't be Dead Reign anymore.
Dead Reign is a near-reality game... there's no psi, no magic, no supernatural. It's just zombies and people. That's the nature of the game.

Re: what would ?
Actually, wouldn't the inclusion of the other items make it closer to the original manuscript?

Re: what would ?
Agreed.
The First Dead Reign is ALL about a demonic invasion force and the zombies are only a secondary force, they're just the first wave, shock troops ment to soften up survivors of the plauge.
And that same plauge served the triple purpass of helping to summon Bru Boys main forces to earth.
So yeah, you using demons is what Original Dead Reign is ALL about.
Heck, I was running a Heroes Unlimited DR game where the DR Zombies had cause some few people to Mutate and gain superpowers (truth was that wasn't the truth at all, the mutations were Not caused by the Zombies at all, they were caused by a.... Gawk, choke... Garggle...). Okay so that game fell through and the players never found out the secret cause of there powers, but you see that the point is with DR you can invent allotta non-canon story arcs, and since there are TWO Dead Reign RPG worlds, you can have your pick of alternate DR realities.
In the end, players liked Both versions.
Some people play DR more like Last Blood for instance by adding Vampiers into the mix, while others add in Nightspawn and create a more Gothic WoD DR setting. Still Others will wanna add in a Zombie plauge into Systems Shock, one that starts out attacking the bugs and that the humans May think is killing them off, only later to realize that the Bugs are coming Back from the dead and have turned Zombie AND are hard to kill in an All new way. Its kinda like in 'War of the World' how the plauge that Seemed to kill of the invaders, only to have them years later rise again, only meaner.
Play DR how you like, or go by one of the Two separate DR games.
But yeah, demons work.

Problem is I used Placebos "Running Up that Hill" to get Catherine Wheels "Black Metallic" to get Monorals "KIRI" to get Dan Balans "Crazy Loop" out of my head in the first place.

Re: what would ?
Interesting. I didn't know that. Oddly enough, I like it more without the demonic aspect... throw demons into Dead Reign, and it makes it too similar to every other book in Palladium's line. Not that I don't love the other games... I do, it's just that I like DR for being different.
So to restate: You could throw in demons, it just wouldn't be Dead Reign the way it's presented in official material anymore. =)
