No, the spell caster needs to be touching the person who is to be soul bottled. Not just touching the outside of the dream pool.
An analogy would be like "can you cast the soul in a bottle spell by just touching the car the person is in?"

Agree with Drewkitty. Gotta be touching the physical person.
