The Look of your Starships

What is the Sci-fi,s ships do you based your ships,s appearance on?

I like to use the sub from AtlantisDsv,for one of my races,s ships.
s
I like having the design reflect the race using them.

So tell me?

In my game the ships of the main fleet are all nano constructs so the shape comes from the creators subconcious, we've one that looks like a massive stealth bomber, others that look more like Star Destroyers(Star Wars 2,3,4), my personal characters ship looks kinda like the Naboo starship from Star Wars 1.

Boxes...My designers couldn't make up their minds what sort of design to make their ships so they defaulted to their childhood memories of making their perfect spaceships from the boxes the rest of their toys came in...Thus, all the ships look like boxes, in all sizes. :D :angel:

my current concepts all look like the ships from Mass Effect.
My current PW Chars ship looks like the Normandy.

Well The look of my ships are based on the Tech-level of each the race,the CCW go with the Atlantis-dsv,The ships of a low tech race look like the UNSC,s ships from Halo.

I like the look of ships in Mass effect.

I hope in Mass effect 3 they will be more info on ships not just human ones but the ships of all the Citadel,s race.

I've always enjoyed looking at the Eve Online Spaceships, Starcraft, Star Wars, Wing Commander (to an extent), Mass Effect, etc. Eve also has a full ship scaling chart that is a bit more comprehensive then the one presented in the phase world books. I love how Battleships are considered Sub-capital in that gaming universe. :lol:
