Ray, when someone asks you if you're a god, you say "YES"!
That is the call of the deep doo-doo bird. I must fly!

Re: Only four more days ...
It was pretty good. I still found myself in some mild disbelief as to the main character still being alive.
The passage of time isn't specifically noted, but with some of the things that were mentioned, it seems like at least a few weeks would have needed to have passed from the time things really went to pot and him waking up. It doesn't seem like he would have been abondoned just a day or two before he woke up (if nothing else, he's rockin' about a 10-14 day beard).
IV or no IV, he'd be dead of dehydration in about 3-4 days max, not 1-3 weeks.
Also the flowers, unless the nursing staff didn't really care about watering them, even assuming being overwhelmed with the outbreak the last day or two before everyone basically got eaten and they didn't have the time too, they were pretty well dried and dead. That would take at least 5-6 days minimum of not being watered before they'd get that dead...past what you'd survive with no fluids.
Just some of my thoughts/feelings on it.
Yes, I have a hard time not sitting back and not analyzing things to the n-th degree. Those aside (and some, come on! You are going in to a big city! There are going to be millions of them there!) I do like it and look forward to more episodes.

PS I am waiting for the movie/show where people just realize what zombies are. I mean at least in the US, unless you A) Don't own a TV and never have B) aviod and popular culture or pop culture references like the plague C) live a very secluded life D) don't know what the internet is, I can't believe you would have heard of what a zombie is and/or know some of the very basics (they want to eat you, they are basically dead people, biting, eating and maybe scratching you is enough to eventually turn you in to one of them).
It gets annoying having to have people have it explained to them in a movie or show when if it is supposed to be based on a real world, but now there is a zombie outbreak, then pretty much everyone should already know about zombies. It can't be for the benifit of the watching audience, since 99.99% of us already get it.

This is not a series about zombies, rather this is old school style where zombies just provide the setting and tension. Whoever made this show understands what zombie films are supposed to be about. Given the quality of episodes 1 and 2 I could see this being one of the best dramas from any genre.

Sweet!
Yeah I loved the second episode. I think like most things the "explaining everything" and "getting the characters introduced" was just a little slow/annoying to me. Once things got started I liked it.
I kind of like that the zombies are slow shamblers, but can actually move; however, they are still slower than a normal person, if not a huge amount (kind of as fast as you would be if you were really, really stiff and sore...you know, from being dead for a few weeks might cause).
I also like the quick explination in the episode about how zombies figure out who is living and not.
The preview for the next episode has me scratching my head. You decide you are going to go back and get the sadistic, racist, redneck who wouldn't mind killing everyone, pillaging, raping and generally smelling bad? Dude the zombies can have him and his brother too.

It hasn't been revealed yet, but the implications that SOMETHING happened between Lori and Shane were already evident in the first episode.

I am not familiar with the comics but the tv show seems to be building towards something with the 2 cops. Why else would they emphasize things with the 1 cops wife?
