Which world books/setting books do people own?

I'm curious to see which setting books/world books people own, and by own I also mean "have thoroughly read at some point" even if you subsequently sold the book.

My apologies if this thread has already been done but I searched and browsed 20 forum pages and didn't see anything like it.

Also: what's your favorite Rifts Earth location to play in?

Edit: NOT asking about all your Rifts books, just the ones focused on a specific locale.

Just to clarify, I wanted to focus mostly on locale books, such as world books, so I ignored general rule books like Bionics or metaplot books like Siege on Tolkeen. Though of course almost every book has some setting info in it. I also didn't include All of the Above because it doesn't change the distribution, and the distribution pattern is what I'm interested in. Thanks.

My favorite locale would probably be New West, Atlantis or maybe Dinosaur Swamp.

I only own about 10 of those books and I suspect that — super-fans who own everything notwithstanding — most people are like me and have chosen a few setting books to buy and run/play their games therein.

Oddly enough I buyu them all because I typically like to read them (Heroes of the Megaverse notwithstanding unfortunately). Haven't played Rifts in years.

It was done by Myrmidon Press. A small RPG company (now out of business) and Rifts Manhunter was essentially a book based on thier own Manhunter RPG just using the PB system of rules. At somepoint I woudl like to get copies of the original RPG books by MP so I can mine it and/or convert everything over for use with the PB system.

No area in particular stands out. I ran a CS SpecOps game based in Lone Star for years, another game was based in Colorado (well before New West). The only place I don't recall having ever gone to as a player or a GM is northwest Canada.

Clean sweep; got'em all. Got everything except Heroes of the Megaverse.
As for favorite setting? North America(my own backyard). Shemarrian territory(one day, we shall turn Archie-3 back to the Way of Good, even if we have to wipe the demented little toaster and start over again).

Grittier setting, but I have my reservations about it; Manhunter's full of great stuff and good descriptions, the formatting is okay, the illustrations fresh, but it suffers from poor editing...part of the problem, I think, was that Myrmidon Press was translating an existing product of theirs to Palladium, and not everything came over from the fluff to the stats. There's gaps that you can drive a truck through, and missing equipment; gear that's mentioned as standard in the character description is wholly missing in the stat portion, pr doesn't match up at all.
That being said, I do keep it close at hand for comparison purposes and for its RCCs, OCCs, and occasional odd piece of equipment(Kirn wood-firing guns make good anti-vampire weapons).

Pretty much the same, with only three missing from it...
And some are so consumed they look and smell like old used poker cards(let's not talk about old RMB or the old conversion book, much like my Nightbane book and HU Main book arte kept together by faith and costant restoring process - I'm sure each of you had some Palladium books in such conditions. The TMNT and other strangeness stuff is too quite consumed...but I pay more attention with those.)

I haven't played in years either - life got in the way, but I still enjoy reading the books. I just started a play by post game where you only have to give an hour or two a week to play rifts!! Check out this site:

I have to start teaching my gaming books how do that. The most common present I give to people(well gamers friends) ar gaming book...if I could get them to breed I'll save tousands on fifts.

Madhaven is good, and I liked Canad to.

Baron of chaos, I have a coffee stain in every book. When they are beat to Hades you know they are getting used.

Shin, We like the west to. We use Arzno (a favorite) allot as well as Canada. We also stomp around dinosaur swamp a bunch to.

Madhaven is the only book in our collection that Ninjabunny hasn't even gotten to look at

We play in the Dino swamps on occasion and when I ran a game we played in Thailand and Russia!

The only Rifts book I'm missing is the original Gold HC and Africa with the new cover.

Interesting results. I'm not surprised by Atlantis or Sourcebook 1, but some of the others, such as New West I wouldn't have guessed as being terribly popular. Shemarrian Nation comes off worst probably because it's so new, but the China and Dinosaur Swamp books don't do well either.

So by removing all the people who own everything (subtracting the lowest score, essentially) we get this chart:
