Im considering building a strange colection of magic users as Npcs and would like some more thoughts.

Techno-wizards
Plus the various others in rifter Necro-Tech,Techno Shifter,
Stone masters

I'm looking for other builder type mages.

What mundane people would this attract as well

Psi-techs etcs

Normal people rouge scholar?

City owners, business men, military-industrial complexes would be the 'mundane' people who would notice a wizards construction guild, as well as ambitious mages / summoners (those pyramids don't build themselves!).

As to membership, Techno-Wizads (and all variants), Stone Mages, Earth Warlocks, perhaps the Mystic Smiths from Russia (I'd have to double check that, not sure how much into stone work they go). All that really jumps to me, but I'm sure there's more out there.
Getting a mage to tell you where the hydra is...10,000 gold
Hiring a summoner... 40,000 gold
Hiring one hundred 10th level mercenaries... 98,567 gold
Giving a hydra skull to your necromancer... priceless

The effect is to build a mostly magically created base of operations. So even biomancers or something similar for crop production is something to consider.

thats why im posting it.

operators other high class thinker may stumle onto be asked to join etc too.
It is based out of a tiny pocket dimension. and with only a handfull of ways in or out it can then be defended.

I thought of biomancers, but that's part of the industrial complex, which if I recall, they're kinda against, so I wouldn't bet on it, there are Psi-Druids who might be more understanding, but I think Warlocks are still your best bet on that angle.

I was also thinking possably some native shaman as well. The biomance could be drawn in through their trees if present in some small portion of the dimension. They are going to be a strange group that though has evil members and branches of sorcery is still over all a good impact on the planet too.
Wehad a necrom ancer and biomancer in a pc group once.

Necro was from dinosour swamp and only used what scavanged/ attacked him.
