A Question on fan based Tech
A friend of mine pointed out a few sites that had Macross/Robotech stats on various Veritechs found in various Official art books. As these are Macross/Robotech official mecha, and someone used the Palladium system to do up proper stats, do these fall under the no conversion rule or are they usable? I personally find them very interesting as there are a wide variety of Veritechs from the various Macross series. What say you?

For your own games you can use andmake anything yo want.
The no conversion rule is a guideline about what people are supposed to not put on thier websites (and has dubious validity in that regard) but more specifically for people to NOT post game stats on these forums.

I am very opinionated. Yes I rub people the wrong way but at the end of the day I just enjoy good hard discussion and will gladly walk away agreeing to not agree

Ahh, that I figures as I planned on using them. But I was planning on posting a campaign that was based on some of the ideas. It surrounded a UN Spacy All Female Experiment called the 215 All Female Tactical Combat Group. I'll hold off on that for the time being.

well you CAN post stats as long as they are are NOT game stats of official thigns. NPC's are fair game. Completely orignal mecha I believe are fair game too as long as it isn;t someone elses work or conversions of something else.

What kind of stats?
Specifically, are they for Palladium?
Because if the stats are for the Palladium system, then it's not a conversion, and no rules have been broken.
Also, if it was created for other games during the period where Palladium books did not have licencing rights, then no rules have been broken, as again; it is not a conversion.

Re: A Question on fan based Tech
what i beleive he is refering to are those sites that provide palladium stats for mecha and ships from the various macross spin offs like macross Plus, macross 7, etc.
those actually do fall under the "no conversion" rules, so you can't post them here, nor provide links to sites that give the stats. what you use in your own games is of course, up to you.

If you post something that destroys the very fabric of the universe, the worst the moderators will do will be delete your post, then come to your house, confiscate all your books and drag your family into the slave pits of the nine hells.
