In Naruni Wave 2 it says that the Naruni are only in North America. What about Cibola? remember Inix the Old Ones top minion from South America 1?

Cibola doesn't consider itself a part of Earth, per se... but yes they are there, and last we heard were trying to sell guns to the Silver River Republics (whether or not they buy is entirely left up to you).

The Europe mention is just that, a mention. It comes from Phase World, and states that the Naruni Social Studies Branch is considering a deal with Angel of Death: psynetics in exchange for weapons. Again, this plot line is left entirely up to Game Masters.

The first book published with the word Naruni in it, was set in Europe. It indicates that a Naruni slave race is cmmonly found there, implying that the Naruni are there also (perhaps acquiring instead of selling though).

It's does seem weird that Naruni's first mention has them with a monopoly on the Seeker's as a slave race. But the Seeker's appear to be the only slave race they employ as no toher reference to Naruni indicates them owning slaves.... unless the Seeker's somehow found themselves in-depted to the Naruni. There's also a mention of the Naruni in Russia aquiring Russian cybernetics. Anyways I guess my point would be with all the other "markets" on Rifts Earth why would they choose the one place where they are being systematically targeted (besides atlantis of course).

I thought the SA guns were copies of Naruni weapons...or was it that Naruni was trying to mask their origins by selling under a different name?

Actually I think Naruni has a good chance of doing some damage against the CS. Not enough to destroy the completely but enough to cause them a certain amount of grief.
If it's stupid and it works. It's not stupid

Palladium can't be given a free pass for criticism because people have a lot of emotion invested in it.

Pathfinder is good. It is not the second coming of D&D.

Surshot is absolutely right. (Kevin Seimbeda)

I just double checked. They are indeed Naruni manufacture, although the weapons LOOK different than he classic black design, they are indeed the same weapons (even have the same nomenclature). Perhaps only the 3 described in SA1 are actually available outside North America (Cartirdge pistol, rifle, and machine gun).

In actuallity, I think the guns in SA were illustrated by Kevin Long just before he and Palladium parted ways. Vince Long then redrew them for Mercenaries.

I say both are valid (although Branden's expliation seems like the most valid real one).

I have plenty of guns that are basically the same thing as the next one, but look entirely different. For example, my SKS looks more like a sniper rifle than an assault rifle. I removed the bayonet and replaced it with a bipod, added a scope, replaced the wooden stock with a Dragonov style stock, added a flash suppressor, and replaced the fixed 10 round mag with a removable 30 round mag. It looks pretty bling now...but in the end...its just an SKS no matter what it looks like.

To me, the SA line simply has a different look to it, but the mechanics of the weapons are identical to the NA versions. Heck, you can prolly even mix and match the magizines if you can live with different colors.

I agree with Branden about the weapons, but the question still reamins why it states that the Naruni are only active in North America, when they are obviously mentioned as operating in both Cibola, South America & Europe (where they were first mentioned). Are the supplying Brodkil , Mindwerks, or the Gargoyles probably not but the Seekers are there and apperently the Naruni are not Slavers so is this a rogue branch, another Naruni? The truth is out there.....

The weapons in Naruni Wave Two are indeed excellent, but what I want to see is the Phase World catalog. NW2 is all about the Naruni's second attempt at business on Rifts Earth, and most of the items in there are designed for Earth residents. But what about the equipment for the space races? This I want to see.
