If you're going to listen to me than listen to this. You need patience and lots of it! Giving Palladium a deadline to respond to you is unrealistic given their current schedule. Even the freelancers need to wait to have our projects reviewed, edited, and published.

Just to give you an idea back in 2002 when Palladium had a decent sized staff and Maryann was working there I submitted my first manuscript proposal. They approved my proposal six months later! It was published a year or so after that. Back then I was an unknown writer with my writing skills unknown. It takes time to build a relationship with a publisher which is what all of the guys with the Freelancer title have done. Building that relationship takes time and is not an instant process. It could take years. The best way to build a publishing relationship with Palladium is to have lots of patience and submit regularly to the Rifter. You can even call the office from time to time to ask if your submission was received and reviewed. As long as you're professional the phone calls are often pleasant and informative. If this is something you are interested in then good luck.

In all honesty, Gleba has nailed it. And 6 months in publishing is actually really fast for a first timer. I have manuscripts I submitted for novels and not heard back from for almost a year! It's insane the amount of time required. So, if you want to do it, get cracking and fast. But also gauge the need and demand. I understand having a passion, but if you want to make money, pitch the idea first with an outline and then write the book after you have a contract. My 2 cents anyhow... Also, I'd live to see new dimension books, but it really depends on who writes them.

Any new Dimension Books needs to Fleshed out well as Phase World Corebook, Wormwood, Skraypers, Splicers, etc...

I do not want "adventure" sized books. I want full sized books 200+ pages at least.
Adventure Sized books are OK for Sourcebooks aout smaller locations. Not for Dimensions or Whole Worlds to explore.

Also...SPLICERS. The Writter left it up to "us" if it really Earth or a Space Colony world somewhere in the galaxy/universe. Which is a great idea.

Of all the dimension books, I hated Wormwood the most. It looked cool and all, but NOTHING was exportable to my RIFTS campaign(s). Other books have had races or OCCs brought through sometimes wholesale, but Wormwood has seen maybe 5 game sessions in 17 years (party dropped in & got out as soon as they could).

More dimension books YES! But make sure they have stuff that is useful even if you don't run the campaign 100% within the dimension.

For instance, I'm hoping United Worlds will have

- New OCCs (the most exportable feature of any book)
- Dragons (they would flock to UWW imo, if you can find out how adult dragons pick up OCCs that would be useful to finally have in canon ;) )
- New body armors/TW armors &/or Power Armors (specifically stuff that can be casted through w/o penalty or low penalties)
- Ships both TW & mundane, though a system for custom designing (with prices) gives more value per page IMO.

All of which if I'm running a campaign in Center, or Rifts I can just rift the character in and be ready to go.

(Loved the Megaverse builder too, quite useful though I was surprised at the lack of a spatial mage like OCC)

Yeah, not looking forward to the art in that one. I find very few of his work fits well with the material. Mind you I didn't like Wayne Breau Jr at first but his art improved greatly over the years and I like it now, so we will see. Bradshaw does have skill, but I find that he needs to work on his symmetry and on his inanimate objects.

I've seen the art and talked to Carmen. They both worked very closly on this together. I think it will be one of the best dimension books to date. Carmen told me about this a few years ago and I think of it often when I run my games and he threw hints of it to the players. As for the art its some of Bradshaws best and it really fits.

The thing about PW support is that when it was written, it was writen as an epic tale. Problem with those (especially 1 with 3 galaxies involved) alot of Lore needs to be writen, objects and races stats being created. PW just pretty much took off on its own completely, so much so that the minion wars crossed over into it as well.

It hurts my head with all the possibilities. Not to mention the other oddities out there.

On a different note. Some more Wormwood source (update or whatever) would be nice.

Not many other Genre's are left to be covered by palladium. Alot of their other games are already setup with their own rules and likewise can be setup as other Universes as the players see fit(with some minor tweaking).

I suppose you could do some parallels. Lord knows that would happen alot.

I have noticed alot of our DB's seem to focus on normal physics and the standard mediums.

How about a Universe where the medium is just normal Air. All the worlds are flat and such. and the air is like a normal room temperature. Infinite in size and the bottoms of the world plates are lit like a sun. allowing the plates below them to haev ligth as well. It would be very intriguing
