Selfishly, i ask, because I'm hoping my revised Triax O.C.C.s are in it.

Re: rifter 55 cover
I'm wondering what's in it too. I've got an article that I submitted about a year ago but it didn't make it in the Rifter because another article that was published was similar. That's the feedback that I received last year and I understand. So I check for the contents on the weekly updates every new Rifter to see if it made it on the list.

It will be a short story about a female Coalition Navy Pilot who gets turned into an Tattoo
Woman and made to fight in the Arena in Atlantis. And that's all for the spoilers .

Greetings and Salutations. I think everyone should pick it up for the bolded article alone. There can be no better article for a summer issue of the Rifter than a closer look at these desert dwellers. Just for a brief look at some of the content includes notes on (considering no section is cut) ...
-- Language, Children & Aging, Duels of Honor, Ruling Structure, Military, Crime and Punishment (includes one paragraph discussing Quorian and armor in Rifts), Preferred Weapons, Ancient Rivalries, Names and Visions, Religion, The Lost Homeworld, Elemental Beliefs, Riftlord (full stats), and a few possible story ideas.
Full stats for the Quorian can be found in Palladium Fantasy Book 9: Baalgor Wastelands and again in Rifts Conversion Book One: Revised. This is an expansion upon the concepts written there. Thank you for your time and patience, please have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys to all.

I'll be going into Manhattan on the 14th (this coming Thursday) to catch the George RR Martin book-signing, so I'll check with The Compleat Strategist & see if they have both Rifter #55 and Thundercloud Galaxy in stock.

MadManMike,
I look forward to seeing your art for the story. Any chance of giving me a teaser on what is was about? Feel free to send it in a private message as not to spoil the story at all for anyone else. I loved the artwork for the last story and am very interested to see what was done for this one. I have some excellent ideas involving new were-creatures and new vampires for the Nightbane setting I plan to include in the October submission. I want to do an article in addition to the short story detailing the differences between the new supernatural beings and the ones already known to exist. Thanks!

I did a couple of character portraits and a full page image to lead in the story; I won't say more, although I'm looking forward to some feedback, aside from the most obvious criticism that I'm going to get from the full page image...

Awesome! I was hoping the character stats would make the final cut. I planned to put stats for all the main characters, as well as optional rules for stuff I add in, as secondary articles and such. I look forward to seeing the finished work, Mike! I've admired your other work on DeviantArt and am glad you were chosen to do the art.

I took artistic license to get across the nature of a particular creature in the Nightbane setting, as without motion to convey their true evil doesn't show in just their appearance; I realize that sounds like an obfuscation, but when the book comes out it will make more sense.

Re: rifter 55 cover & content
OK, here's my quick review of Rifter #55;
While I didn't go though the PFRPG articles right away, Dark Day Chronicles Vol. 3 continues to be a good read. The Triax Update is welcome addition, as was the additional CCW material for Thundercloud Galaxy. Part 2 of The Black Crusade continues to provide fascinating material. The short-story, Sweet Vengeance, provide a nice look at the gladiator-pits of Atlantis.
And, of course, the sneak-peek of the revised Vampire Kingdoms book. I'm seriously considering picking up the book....something I never do: buying a 're-issue' iof a book when I have the original edition. If I do pick up the Revised book, I'll have to put the original up for trade.
All in all, another excellent issue! Kudos to all involved!

I"m glad you liked the Triax Update. Any additional feedback would be appreciated. I'm hoping to continue the trend for any new O.C.C.s that come out in my books. I really liked how R:UE gave everything a unique flavor beyond skill selection, and that is the feel I'm going for. Now people have a reason to choose Field mechanic instead of operator.

I don't like to say what's best in any issue of the Rifter, because I hate playing favorites. Even though I odn't play PFRPG, I like to read the contributions for that line anyway, after I read the ones that I'm interested in. I find them very informative.
I really don't see what could be considered a 'mistake'.

Re: rifter 55 cover & content
I have to say I'm glad that the CCW background info that had to be cut from Thundercloud Galaxy finally saw the light. I think it helps explain things a lot more to those who felt I "turned the CCW evil". It also shows readers how the Development Company is set up and got so powerful.
Under the CCW Relations section, readers will find a mention of Motherhome-in-Exile. Since the power bloc this refers to was also cut from the book, it sounds a bit disjointed, but basically know that for 700 years, it’s been rumoured that a few members of the Wulfen Royal family escaped overthrow by hiding out in the back end of the three Galaxies. Many assume that this kingdom will be found somewhere in the unexplored half of the Thundercloud.

If that doesn't prompt you to buy it, I don't know what else I can say.
