I don't think I follow...

Sorry, just had to, right now my girlfriend and I just killed off a rival of the Wolfen leader Vir. Vir, was the leader of the merchant town Rapere, but he ended up being murdered while we were off.

Before that, we stole a pull cart, and we stole 20 bear traps from a store. We got chased by some watchmen, and then we broke the wrist of one of them.

We escaped from Rapere into the forest, and waited out the day. Then, we went into the camp or Erapo, or the rival Wolfen, and killed all his men and him.

That's about it for right now. We just started playing today. Perhaps I should write a topic detailing what goes on. Thoughts?

I'm in 3 right now.

1. Is a solo where I play a lord/baron who is also a wizard. Campaign has twists and turns. Right now it is revolving around the port city of Dragonport wanting to join my protectorate and shed all ties to the Baron Fitzroy, because I came to their aid 3 times now, not the baron. The baron is not anywhere close to them, and nor does he keep a sizable army there. There are several subplots to it. I am also fighting some rumors that I am trying to be the next in line for the position of emperor. I DO NOT WANT THE JOB! I am happy with my fiefdom.

There is a good reason for Fitzroy not to keep a sizable army there...The empires war with the demon gargoyles for one.

2. The one where I am Elven wizard (level 5). in a ruins crawl, exploring the remains of the old city west of wisdom. Setting a trap to try and catch a Moord-Sith for my guild to to study. I am going to be the bate. Actually, my large red PPE filled diamond is.

3. My character, the "thief", was killed on a side adventure at sea, so I am actually debating on running my priest in that game next time. Named Richard Simmons. He's a concept that is fun and you know if he shows up something funny is about to happen. He's actually a priest to The Juggernaut and Aco. Note Juggernaut comes first.

I run my game with cause and effect. Trying to show the players that their actions usaully have a reaction somewhere in the games future events.

The group mind mage, after a crueling adventure off the coast of Cyclose decided to cut loose in a tavern where he meet a young beauty who was a low level wizards apprentice. You see he died by the magic of a shpinx and only thru a bargain with the Fae was hs brother (theif) able to call forth someone to reserect the mage.
Now this person who rezzed the mage arrived thru a temperal Rift. He looked oddly familaur even tho the theif was certain they have never meet. The idividual pull out a crystal bent over the charred remains of the mind mage and began to chant.
A brillaint flash then behold the MM is whole again.
As this young man walks back to the portal, he looks around and spots the theif.
"Hey uncle, do you think you can keep him alive a little bit long. Our lives depend on it".
Now back to the party with apprentice...

One year real time, 15 game time. The adventurers just emmerge from the Dungeonland module by the big G. 2000 years into their future. They find the surface a changed habitat. Humans are all but extinct. Elves live below with their now close friends the dwarfs. They will soon learn that the only intact surface race they reconize is the wolfen. Who worship the new dragon gods and veiw their dragonkin people as royalty. Dragonkin is now the domanant race.
A dragon breed humaniod.

The plot. They learned that long ago a Mystic searching for great power, long forgtten magic to alter time. This individual is now know as The Awakener of Styphon.
The magic he sought was the spell that aloud him to go back in time to save his father, the MM.
He offered himself as sacrifice for this magic. Styphon decided he wanted all of mankinds blood.
Now the heros must live in this new world or find a way back in time to alter it yet again.

Please forgive the spelling. Blackberry is a ***** to use. Buttons soooo small. Plus I'm sneak texting at work. No time for proper text. Hell the novel above took 15 minutes of sneaking, lol.

There he intends to avenge the senseless murder of a young woman who once aided him. She was slain by a priest of the cult of Chantico... Banzar intends to slowly exact his revenge and burn the cult to the ground. Of course, this could be difficult with the Palladin of Aco and the Juggernaut and the Knight of Tomiro with him, but he'll figure out a way.

I'm in 2, and running a third.

The first one I'm in is Within the Shadows, as mentioned by Revan above. I'm the Elvish Undead Hunter. And I wish I could have seen the look on Revan's face when I cast CoA in our first combat.

The other one I'm in is called Power of the Thrones, run by novatomato. It's a lot of political intrigue and in-fighting between the nobles now that the clearly defined ruler of the land is dead. We are currently headed towards a town carrying an important message of some kind. Everyone is human. I am playing a Prestidigitator named Mortarus the Magnificent! He is a slimy weasel who cares only for himself. Not the normal kind of character I play, and I'm having wonderful fun doing it.

The game I'm running is Curse of the Sarinaanen. Our heroes have been hired by an elderly elf to retrieve an ancient artifact known as Sarinaanen's Phylactery. The only problem is that they don't know where it is, so they are engaged in quite the goose chase right now. The party consists of a Wolfen Wizard, a Danzi Shaman, a human Paladin of Rurga, and a human Mercenary. So far, the party has gone through one ruined fortress, defeating the lizard men and their lizard mage leader, and the clues have now led them to an old and abandoned amethyst mine near the White Rock Mountains. They have had to deal with tremors and cave ins while in the mine, and it's currently raining outside the mine. Alar's horse is getting SOAKED. They have just run into their first encounter in the mines (which have been pretty devoid so far, but that's what you get for not going towards the scratching noises near the entrance), which happens to be a rather large cave scorpion.

Hey there,

I currently play in four games, all of which I have the honour and pleasure to be the GM of:

1. CAMPAIGN: The Wyndingham Diaries
Beyond the Supernatural!!! The campaign/adventure has started recently and is my first play by post game (it is great fun, though, already!). The game is set in the 1930s, started November 1932, and the current stage is San Francisco, but the party will “visit” several locations all over the globe. The flair of the game – well, that is what I hope to achieve – is a mix of nitty-gritty dark series (Maltese Falcon, The Big Sleep, etc.), Indiana Jones style adventure, and, of course, an (un)godly dose of - ancient to modern - old fashioned horror. You are welcome to stop by and look at our game on The Deific NMI's Storm Watch board.

2. CAMPAIGN: The West Ablaze
Fantasy. The campaign started in 1996 and first played in the Hrudolfingan realm of Escar, a carolingan type kingdom. There are a total of 8 players split into 2 groups.

Recently, in 2007, I switched my campaign focus completely to a realm in the west, Hygôr, and everyone started with new characters. My world is medieval and low in magic, flair-wise it is (classic!) sword and sorcery as in the Conan books mixed with earth-history 7th-11th century.

Hygôr, realm of the west, is in trouble, although that is putting it midly. The backdrop of this campaign is basically a very old and traditional “celtic”/”anglo-saxon” society that has been stable and adaptable enough to survive for 3000 years. Even the “Romans” ruled basically only "passing through" (stayed only for about 300 years) and left good roads but did not change the culture. Geographically, these “anglo-saxons” are not living on an island but in a country much like France, only about 4 times as large. The realm has has been attacked by a huge swarm of goblinoids. The goblinoids have conquered the whole southern half of the realm. About 90% of the whole nobility of the north has been killed in the defense of the south. The south is completely gone, most people there landed in goblinoud bellies or are slaves there now. There are small streams of refuges even now and roving bands of marauders/bandits (ex-soldiers, very much like/after the 1618-1648 30-years war in Europe) plague the country. The realm is not lawless, but so huge that control is reduced to the settlements, travelling is dangerous. The realm was saved by “Vikings” and “Normans” who are now in the process of a “friendly take-over”; many towns, rural areas, cities, etc. do no longer have adequate protection (lord gone, feudal protection gone) and rulership due to the death of so many of the former lords that the “new guys” can get in pretty easily. There is a lot of fraction between the old and the new, but at least for now the realm is safe from the goblinoids.

a. ADVENTURE: The Lay of Beorn & Athelwulf
This is an adventure that started in winter 2007 and it revolves around two PCs, namely the huscarl Beorn and the aetheling Aethelwulf.

(N.B.: I know, "aetheling" is a term for princes of royal blood and normally earls are not necessarily that. In Hygôr however, all Eorls are considered of the true/noble/high/royal blood as the High King of Hygôr is an nothing but an Eorl elected by the assembly of eorls for his lifetime only, although in practice with good politics a king can do a lot to ensure that his son becomes the next elected king. As the history of Hygôr has seen 3000 winters every single eorl family has seen a reigning king from its midst. This also shapes their outlook on things, each behaves and essentially is, if not in name, a king in his domain.)

Well, Aethelwulf is the son of such an Eorl (~ “earl”). Aethelwulf is a wizard and not too shabby as a fighter (as most nobles he uses a bastard sword). He is hunted by assassins and mercenaries sent by a “Norman” lord to get the young man out of the way so that the Eorldom becomes vacant after the death (which will, that is the “Normans” plan, happen as well asap) of the great lord, his father, the Eorl. Aethelwulf is unprepared for this as he was only way back in the line, but his brothers fell in the war. He is currently on a research adventure and wants to find dragon bones, which will get very interesting because dragons may die but they never leave completely in my world, their soul can and will take physical presence even after death.

Beorn is a simple Huscarl and blessed by a God with “dreams”. He cannot control that but that God sometimes warns him, sometimes lets him experience things as if he were there. Beorn was on many missions so far. The greatest was maybe where he found his lord, whom he had believed to have fallen in the goblinoid war. Beorn was instrumental in saving the lord. Interestingly, he did that via (for him) a dream sent by said god which was very real for the lord. Essentially, I allowed the player to take over the lord NPC without ever telling that to the player but making it so that he thought it is himself in a dream. I would need to write much, much longer to explain that in depth, but it was one of the very best adventures I have ever had the great honour to be a part of. We played about 2 years on that discovery and I am very proud that the player, who is anything but dumb or inexperienced, never got any wiser until the last moment. It was very epic! Now, Beorn is working to restore his lord to his fief, which in the meantime has been taken over by “Vikings”, in the meantime fending off goblinoids coming down the mountains in hunting/raiding parties. He will also have to tangle with evil; there is an NPC magician who calls himself “The Voice of Darkness” (the Darkness is one of the references to the ultimate evil god in my setting) and is one of the main people behind the goblinoid’s swarming and there are Minotaurs (not the whimsy ones, the Palladium ones!).

b. ADVENTURE: Hark’s Rest (Heretics of Tarantia)
This is a spin-off of “The Lay of Beorn & Aethelwulf. Herein a party of three tries to get a deceased party member “raised”. This started about 12 months ago. It is anything but easy because to “resurrect” the dead is a miracle that will only be granted by a God if (a) the person is worthy (which is a purely whimsical God/DM decision) and (b) the God gets something for it that he deems is enough (souls, his aims perpetuated, etc.; as a rule a very dangerous quest). Here the quest is basically the adventure “Heroes of Tarantia” of the Conan RPG – again, one of the rare buy-them adventures I really, really like very well, it is extremely well done although it required some work to adapt to my world and backdrop. Yet, I like the tone as I am a big Conan (REH books) fan. It is basically the story of demon worshippers having infiltrated really high ranks of “THE church” and now doing really evil stuff and trying to blame it on “Minority church” which discomfits the rulership of the city because it may cause civil unrest, maybe even (local) civil war/ spreading (?) revolt as the city is flooded with refugees who are worshipper of the [enter Minority church of your liking].

c. The adventures of Kane Barsalyn: (currently "Shades of Grey")
This is an adventure I started about 15 months ago. The adventure we play currently is one of the few “ready to play” modules I really like, Shades of Grey (also published, with slight changes, under the name “Web of the Widow” for Hârnworld). The adventure was a free download from Auran. The theme is detective work (murder happened, the party tries to find the murderer), mystery (not all is as it seems, there is a conspiracy and dark designs), intrigue (there are many factions in the city where the game is set) and very cool villains and a couple of “good” guys (see title shades of grey ;-) ). The campaign as such is about an evil-hunting warlike Palladin and his company of heroes (well, three others) who is back from the goblinoid war / border defense for a "holiday" until called back by his Komtur (aka commander) and doing several things for his father, who interesstingly is very powerful, extremely chauvinistic bully and lout (he is also modelled after the fantastic character "Gregor Clegane", aka "the mountain that rides", in George R R Martins Song of Ice and Fire). The Palladin's company are the PCs who are a "Viking", a female Wizard and an executioner/thief as well as a couple of NPC soldiers. The NPCs are currently trying to rebuild the small fief (a village) of the Palladin. There, a wonderful NPC scoundrel of a sergeant, very "practically" minded, is a sweet pain ... for our noble Palladin.

Cheers
Hendrik

I'm currently running Edwin Emmer's Quest for Castlerake adventure from Rifters #31-32.
Throwing lots of extras at the my players as well. Including lots of new monsters :D .
Unfortunately can't post any of them. They are being "play tested" for a possible submission.

Currently have two active games, mostly because one of the players in one isn't always open to game, so we started an alternate game for when he can't make it;

The first of course is the groups legacy game that has gone on for some time, and gone onto fantastical levels, with most of the characters and major NPC's earning a place in local cannon lore, making cameos in other games, as well as being a testing ground for rule changes. I gush about the game often enough so I'll leave that one be for now and go on to;

The nobles (or so the dubbing of the game by the players), it started more as a side game for one a major player for the former game couldn't make it. Each character had to have the Noble Class as one of their two classes (Their second one was any normal PF class), as well as a background as to their lineage and reasons for being a Noble -and- how they have lost access to their wealth / Position. Each player was also assigned an NPC, a loyal retainer of some kind, and have since collected a small group of underlings. The oddity of the game is that the players -rarely- work together in any way, and are often on far ends of the worlds aside from some intervening events as they attempt to work their way back into the upper class. There have only been minor overall plots that are loosely connected at the moment indicating both at deep corruption of Emperor Itomas, or at least implications of the Imperial Guilds working with the military on Black Ships (nothing provable yet), as well as a corruption within Wisdom. There are two core characters, and two others that appear now and then to play. The common ones, Thomas Ward, a former Western Noble, a Diabolist who was born into wealth near Ophids Grasslands, as the head of his house near the age of 30, he spent most of his time engaged in house espionage, and peddling his Wards as needed, with some ties to the local military, doing some off the records investigation and warding of military forts. But he was seen courting a slave, and it gave his cousin the push needed to throw him from the head seat, and disowned him from the house, as well as making public his military ties, forcing him into exile. His sister remained behind in hopes to keep their rather inept (though lucky) cousin from sending the house into ruin, while Ward has come to become a free-wheeling intelligence officer and freelance spy / saboteur. With a small gang of thugs and field agents now in his employ (though now smaller after he suspected a betrayal and purged a few untrusted folks, he did get the traitor, as well as 2 unneeded deaths). Aiding him is his long time assistant, escort and personal guard, a naturally psychic elf (O.C.C being Assassin, though with a heavy dose of social skills), one of the few people he holds trust in to make judgement calls.

The other is a former Byzantium merchant, and warlock (Air), Clive Houser. Building his wealth himself through mostly hard work and a bit of political gamesmanship, he made a good fortune for himself. Mainly keeping low key, and spending his money on the arts and personal works, until the King's budget ran dry, needing a few purged nobles so he could claim their assists. Houser was among those to be shut down, but his loyal guard (Kept mostly for show, a large, slow witted Ogre he bought while in the West some time ago), happened upon the information. Loyal as always, he quickly spirited away the vast wealth Houser collected, and returned to tell his master of the events. However, he didn't keep any record of where he put it all, only that he sunk it some where from a row boat. Happy enough to spitefully leave the king nearly nothing, he burnt his mansion in hopes to buy himself enough time to escape (and hopefully be declared dead), he started his ventures over as an impeccably honest businessmen. He happily over charges everyone he works with, and is a hard bargainer who will squeeze every coin from his buyer, but he assures them they'll get every gold worth out of his work. He's since started a traveling work crew, taking odd jobs like setting up mines, scouting encampments and building military towers, as well as getting a reputation as an acting arbiter. Since the start, he's lost a few of his workers, 1 to a Fenris (who also nearly took the leg of another worker), and 2 to disgruntled attitudes to the heavy pace he keeps.

The other two, who show up much more infrequently, are a Timiran noble in exile for a habit of kleptomania, as well as his treasured 'art' often labeled offensive by his contemporaries. He got caught up in a plot with Ward, who found out he was a noble (but not that he was in exile), at attempted to ransom him (using some local pirates as proxies). It ended with a rousing laugh from those getting a ransom for someone they would rather have hung then pay to free, and Ward ending with some angery pirates expecting a pay day. The second was a Southern who fled under pressure, the Emperor rightly suspecting him plotting a peasant revolt. The peasants didn't understand his success naturally, over why the weather favored his forces so well, or how mishaps happened to watch towers and fortification (He kept his habit of demon consolation and summoning to himself). In his flight he ended up in the employ of a eastern militia group, before hired by Ward for some time as an intelligence agent (as well as working for free, Ward naturally blackmailing him for the information that he was a summoner).
Getting a mage to tell you where the hydra is...10,000 gold
Hiring a summoner... 40,000 gold
Hiring one hundred 10th level mercenaries... 98,567 gold
Giving a hydra skull to your necromancer... priceless
