Yikes, it has been three weeks since I last posted a Murmur. Sorry about that. Life has been hellish.
- Alex’s health has been up and down. His emotions raw. He’s trying to stay positive, but it is difficult. His illness has been hard on me as well. He’s my best friend, I’m helping as best I can, but it doesn’t feel like enough. Plus, I worry about Alex so much. Wish he’d start seeing a more dramatic improvement.
- Dealing with issues concerning Alex’s house and family has weighed on me and Alex. Keep reading for the good news.
- Palladium’s up and down sales (mostly down) are murder on me. I know it's not just us. Hope new releases help.
- Getting ready for Gen Con is time consuming and it is coming up fast.
- Worked like a mad dog to finish Rifts® Vampire Kingdoms™ and get started on Lemuria.
- Coordinating Rifts® Lemuria and other projects. Looking good on those fronts.
- Dealing with business and a bunch of other stuff. Why does everything happen at once.
- It’s been hotter than Hades, and tomorrow is supposed to hit 100!
It has been rough. Feels like all I do is working and sleep. Praying Gen is fun and sales are through the roof. Looking forward to the sales bump we should see from the release of The Rifter® #55, Rifts® Vampire Kingdoms and Rifts® Lemuria.

Rifts® Vampire Kingdoms™ layout starts tomorrow! I’m working on the final tweaks of the last two sections of the book. Rifts® Vampire Kingdoms™ goes to the printer on Monday!!!
Alex and I think this books is amazing. Wayne’ comment, “Yeah, it’s pretty good. Fans should like it.” That’s Wayne speak for, “it’s pretty awesome.” I listened to the fans and tried to include as much of what they wanted to see in this book as possible. The Vampires Hunters are awesome. The vampires are awesome. The vampire player characters are cool. The detail about vampires is comprehensive, including new information on their powers, weaknesses, protectors, lairs and where they sleep. The new monsters are fun. The data about Mexico and the Vampire Kingdoms greatly expanded. The section on Towns alone is something like 20 pages! Just about everything is rewritten. If most people don’t love this book, I’ll asked to be staked through the heart. Place your order today.
Rifts® Lemuria. Last of the artwork is coming in and looks fabulous. I start on the rewrites as soon as Rifts® Vampire Kingdoms is done. We’re still shooting to get it to the printer before Gen Con. This book is worth it for the Biomancy material alone.
Alex’s house if finished and occupancy approved. Alex and family move back home this weekend. If I wasn’t so tired and busy I’d throw a party.
New projects are moving along nicely.
Palladium Open House is May 4-7, 2012. VIP Thursday, May 3, 2012. Admission tickets will be available by Thursday evening, maybe sooner. This might be our last Open House so plan on coming.
Gotta get back to work. I want to finish Rifts® Vampire Kingdoms™ so I can get to Rifts® Lemuria and Robotech® New Generation. Game on!
