I am just going through the Spells in R:UE (I'll go through book of magic later) and I have some stupid questions...

Can the CHAMELEON spell be used to alter the user's hair, eye or skin color? Can a high-fashion Mystic use this spell to keep up with the latest trends without needing to bust her purse on all that nasty cosmetic surgery?

Can CLEANSE be used to kill any surface parasite? Is this simple spell the long awaited solution to the pesky Atlantian pests your enemies are always showing up with? And is there a size limit on the Fleas or Ticks that are killed by this spell?

In CLOAK OF DARKNESS it reads "the magic darkness cannot be dispelled by ordinary light" is the light projected from a trusty Wilk's Laser Grenade considered ordinary -- and does his darkness "smother" the light or is he subject to the same blinding effects of Flash grenades or staring into the sun because he is unaffected by his own spell?
How do "magical" light-sources like Globe of Daylight or Lantern Light spells react when exposed to Cloak of Darkness?
More importantly, does this spell protect you from being targeted with "line of sight" spells from other Magic-users who cannot see through the darkness?

How difficult is it for a Techno-Wizard to use the CONCEALMENT spell to make someones car keys permanently invisible every time they put them down?

Does the EXTINGUISH FIRE spell instantly slay Fire Elementals who are smaller than its effect radius -- and can it power-down larger Fire Elementals?

What happens to targets under the effects of HEAVY BREATHING who do not have boots?

Can LEVITATION be used on specific objects on a target without effecting the targets themselves? IE: Dresses, skirts, or for the less traditional magic-user... raising a platform a target is standing upon. (assuming they would be able to lift said weight of course)

TURN DEAD can a caster position himself so that the only place the undead can immediately flee is into certain doom? Such as off a cliff or back into the loving embrace of their aged and now tremendously unattractive and intolerable widows?

Does chanting Schrodinger's thesis like a mantra before attacking a magic-user in Armor of Ithan circumvent its effect?

What happens if I cast BREATHE WITHOUT AIR on an aquatic life form? Can I use this spell to murder fish?

Can the CHAMELEON spell be used to alter the user's hair, eye or skin color? No. But it can help the char make a spell variant to do the color change. Or you can visit the invented spell topic in the Magic and psi forum. I have a color change spell posted there.

Can a high-fashion Mystic use this spell to keep up with the latest trends without needing to bust her purse on all that nasty cosmetic surgery? No, She would need a spell or power that let her control ectoplasm. Like ectoplasmic disguise which can be found in the RGMG.

Can CLEANSE be used to kill any surface parasite? Depends, if you mean things like ticks and flees, I as a GM would include that to the meaning of the Cleans spell.
If you mean the Bio-wizardy parasites of the type found in RWB2, then No. You would need the Purge/Purge Self sells that can be found in the RBoM.

I would of used the descriptive 'mundane light' in that spell description. But as it is written it is up to the GM to decide if it protects the caster from light based weapons.
How do "magical" light-sources like Globe of Daylight or Lantern Light spells react when exposed to Cloak of Darkness? Good question, but this would also fall under the "GM decides how things work out."
More importantly, does this spell protect you from being targeted with "line of sight" spells from other Magic-users who cannot see through the darkness? Yes, if it requires actual seeing of the target. There are LoS spells that are point and shoot, that would not protect the shadowed mage, except in the part that the attacking mage can't see his target. so he would get penalties 'To Hit".

Using the example, the clothing would be the target, not the person wearing them.
However, when I GM when someone is trying to affect something a person is wearing have the char wearing said object a Save vs magic/psi depending on which is being used.

The animated dead that are turned would flee the mage. Does not effects the undead. The Spell is in the RBoM.

Does chanting Schrodinger's thesis like a mantra before attacking a magic-user in Armor of Ithan circumvent its effect? No, unless it is a rifts Nega-psi or a Psi-Nulifier using said mantra to focus their abilities on the magic.

What happens if I cast BREATHE WITHOUT AIR on an aquatic life form? Can I use this spell to murder fish? Think about the intent of the spell and see how ludicrous what you just said. If anything it would let the fish breath w/o water.

They automatically save vs. Horror Factor!
What if the Heavy Breathing also has really bad breath? Should a save vs. Non-lethal toxins be rolled?
