Thank goodness I have you to help me

Unread post by Kevin »

I just don’t get it. The last couple of days I have been a bundle of enthusiasm and positivity. Today . . . I’m down in the dumps and I don’t know why.

Sure, trying to pay bills with our current cash flow is a painful experience. Yes, I’m fighting deadlines and feeling the pressure. Yes, I feel like I’m being pulled in too many directions. It’s so hard to stay focused sometimes. But none of that is new. Nothing bad happened today. So why am I in this funk? I hate being in the doldrums, especially when so much is going well.

Rifts® Lemuria is amazing. Endless Dead™ is gruesome fun with delightful twists. The Rifts Vampires Sourcebook is great. Rifts® Black Market™ is excellent. Rifts® Northern Gun™ is great – and so are the many other books in the pipeline. And I can hardly wait to start writing books for our many other game lines. The Rifter® #57 ships in a day or two, so that’s good news too. Sales are up and down, but they’ve been strong, overall! There is just so much to be excited about. And I am. Only everything seemed to be weighing me down today and made me feel frustrated and worn out.

Then I picked up a fan letter sitting on my desk. It was one of the last Grab Bags. I read the comment section again. By happenstance, a rousing part of the movie score from Captain America started to play as I was reading it. And, like magic, the music and warm words pulled me out of my funk. They made me smile and made me want to get back in the battle.

Thank goodness I have you guys and gals to turn to when I start to slide into darkness. Your words and continued support often raise my spirits and help keep me going when I feel too frustrated, overwhelmed and down to do so. Thank you for being there for me and Palladium.

I thought you’d like to know you are helping and appreciated even when you don’t know it. :-D

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
