Don't know what that is.

It refers to the Primeval TV series.

These days it's airing on PBS in the United States...just as[i] Doctor Who
was a decade or so ago.

But they STILL don't show any genre savvy!!! THe first time reset, they get a big new office complex, but they still don't have their wits about them! They go into the shopping mall, four people, only TWO guns, no body armor, no external backup, and they separate into two groups, but then one of the pairs separates AGAIN!!! Which means one of 'em's monster bait!!! Really, is that any way to run a fate-of-the-world, or at least -London, scientific investigation/intervention group?

I don't know about PBS in your area, but in mine they are still playing Doctor Who on late night Sat. They have been for years (Chris Ecl. to present AFAIK), though it does get pre-empted for pledge drive (what doesn't) or other events on occassion for a stretch.

Brown hair, check.
Serious expression, check.
Authorative stride. Also check.
Gold and ruby tiara, skintight red, blue, and gold bustier and shorts, red boots and gold arm bracers,....brain-check into the boards.
“You see it too? The outfit?”
Silent nods.
“Damn! I was hoping this was part of a dream! This stuff won’t come off!”
Eyebrows rise.
“Crazy goddess, making me her Champion! What am I going to do with a Lariat of Truth?!”
Gesture with one hand at the coil of golden cord belted to one hip.
More staring.
“You guys going to say something?”
Negative nods.
“Some help you are! How am I going to explain this to the Captain!?”
Whirl on one heel and a stride out, muttering all the way...
“Crazy Greek Goddess! Nobody ever said anything about Athena having a mean sense of humor...!”
Muttering echoes down the halls.
Long moment of silence.
“Rick?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Thought so.”

Meanwhile, down in the hangar bays aboard the Prometheus, a flight technician brained himself walking into an seemingly empty stretch of deck.

Which Doctor are they up to?

I think I should clarify. They haven't been playing them all in aloop, but they have had Doctor Who on regularly since picking up w/the start of Chris as the Doctor years ago (don't recall how they overlapped with Sci-Fi's broadcast). Lately it looks like they are only doing the Tenant/Smith season. They haven't acquired the next Smith season as far as I've seen.

The next episode on Sat. Night is Amy & The Doctor visit Churchill during WW2.

Lisa storms onto the Bridge.
"Captain, I-" Sge stops dead.
There at her station, Claudia's standing...also wearing a red, blue, and gold outfit.
Claudia: "Lisa? You too?"
Lisa: "I'm wondering if I really AM dreaming."
Vanessa: "Oh, you're awake all right. Or this is a REALLY bad dream."
Lisa turns around. Yep, all the bridge bunnies are wearing red, gold, and blue bustiers, hotpants, boots and tiaras.
"Athena must have figured on hedging her bets, or she's got a really WICKED sense of humor..."
Then Lisa gets a horrible thought...
"Oh please, don't let it be..."
She turns to the other side of the bridge.
Captain Gloval's sitting in his chair, wearing a skintight purple outfit with hood, black boots, gunbelt, and a black mask with white eyes. He has a skull ring on one hand.
Gloval: "What is this, a ship of Amazons?"

Random Lt.: "Sir! The Robotech Masters have broadcasted their surrender!"

Lenard: "Quick! get me a channel!"

Lt.: "But sir! It's already been accepted!"

Lenard: "WHAT!!! On who's authority?"

Suddenly the monitor crackles to life showing the trio of Robotech Masters surrounded by men with swords and longbows.

Robotech Master: "Ahem ... Uh, I as spokesman for the Robotech Masters officially surrender all our forces and people to the mercy of the Duchy of Grand Fenwick."

Lenard: "HUH!!!"

Listening to the conversation about where the SDF-1 should go next, with names like 'Wakanda' and 'Grand Fenwick' bandied around, Vanessa Leeds self-consciously patted her uniform, feeling the family heritage amulet that hung around her neck, its crystalline warmth reassuring, even as she wondered to herself if she should speak up.
Not that I'd have to explain that my family name is really 'Thatch', but I'm not sure Mom and Dad would approve of me bringing my work home, even if I could convince Captain Gloval to fly down a volcano.

Kim Young tried to focus on her console, hoping that no one would ask her if she had any relatives that might lend a hand. she'd promised great grandfather Denison and Auntie Bix that she'd not let anyone know where she was really from.. the hidden continent had only recently managed to establish travel to the outside world, and bringing a flying ship of mass destruction, filled with war strutters and 70,000 plus dolphinbacks would be an existential crisis for her homes harmony. though she did miss everyone in waterfall city..

Doctor Lang sat in his office uncharacteristically drumming his fingers....He was worried; while Captain Gloval had not said much upon his return from Alaska Base, Lang had, contrary to popular belief, spent enough time in various halls of power to know the signs of a political screw job when he saw them. Captain Gloval was entirely too honest a man not to show the agonies of bad news on his face and in his manner. It all added up, in Lang's analytically mind, to a raw deal for the crew and civilians aboard the SDF-1. Technological solutions he could come up, given enough time, he knew, but politics rarely afforded people the time they needed. And with what he'd heard of the Zentraedi fleet from Commander Hayes' report, those political games could prove fatal for EVERYONE. He had to do something...something more than the barrier project, improved Veritechs, better armaments, an improvised new Fold Drive...but his section was already working around the clock. He had to think outside the box, beyond the obvious.
Am hour later he gave up. He knew what the problem was, had been dancing around it all the time, trying to forget it existed. But try as he might, there was no getting around it. He knew the old family honor debt was a key to a great power, but the sort of cost that might come with it...it didn't bear thinking of. That was why the Langs hadn't already called in that debt, why they'd immigrated from eastern Europe. The temptation, and the taint. But what cost his personal honor, compared to all the lives on the SDF-q, possibly the world?
Sighing, Emil Lang pulled up a phone directory, just in case. The number he sought wasn't one often used, the location more of a political statement in itself, a sign of defiance to the world, than any attempt at friendly diplomacy, but it would be staffed, and the staffers would be serious at their jobs...HE would not tolerate anything that reflected badly upon his country and himself after all.
And through the Latverian embassy Lang could no doubt get in touch with HIM. And he would honor the debt he owed the Lang family, though much to Lang's cost. But then again, who aboard the SDF-1 had NOT been called upon to sacrifice?

Linn Minmei listened uneasily to all the discussions about where they could go next. She looked over at Kyle and saw he thought the same thing. Their distant aunt Cordelia's homeland might take them. But, relations had soured due to the UEG trying to kidnap her in the midst of the failed E.B.S.I.S. invasion of Gallia. Not to mention the UEG's involvement in the civil war that followed.

Dare they impose with a band of refugees and a hunted ship?

Rick Hunter leaned back in his cabin, taking advantage of his time off to decompress; pilots needed their sleep. But sleep didn't come easily. Now that they were back on Earth, their problems should be over, right? But it didn't seem that way.
Flying in Earth's skies again made him homesick for the safety of Earth and its skies, and unbidden brought back memories of the Hunter Flying Circus. Truth be told, while they might have had a home base in an airfield, the Hunters were nomadic, roaming over the countryside where the shows took them, And sometimes bad weather or scheduling meant they had to hunker down in a town, living out of a hotel, or sometimes were put up with a local family. Young Rick Hunter had made the acquaintance of more than a few small towns and their residents that way, but it was one small town that he remembered most fondly.
The time Rick and his father spent as guests of a farm family in that appropriately named little farming community of Smallville wasn't particularly long, but there'd been a sense of security there, of old values, and of people who accepted even strangers, and looked out for other people. Rick had, for some reason, felt particularly safe there. Maybe it was just the Kents' (all three of them) welcoming attitude, but ever since then, Rick thought of that place as the epitome of hospitality and Earth's comfort when he threw himself across the sky.
If only that could be true of the rest of the world.

It was quiet in the Command Center when Sandra entered with the coffee tray. John and Helena were having a private conference in the Commander's office while Tony and Carter were down in the lower level with Paul playing Australian rules Football. The only ones still in the Command Center were Victor and Kano who were absorbed in a chess game when she approached. Suddenly, she let out a startled gasp and dropped the tray, dumping hot coffee on Kano's lap. Victor stared to ask what was wrong when he saw the Battle Fortress land in the crater outside.

All we need now is a certain battleship with its wave Cannon.
Who is evil?
Who is joy
Who is pain
Who is death
Who is good
Who is blind
Who is foolish
Who is smart
Me and you that's who
For we are mankind.

Already did it...either here or in a Blooper take; they challenge the SDF-3 on the basis of 'selling out their Japaneseness'. Desslock wagers on the SDF-3 winning the resulting spat. :bandit:

Yes, before my time. Though now that I know the name, I believe I have heard of it.

I'm just imagining this scene where and angry Claudia storms into a meeting of the two crews and dumps the smashed parts of IQ-9 on the table.

I feel stupid for not realizing this was Space: 1999. I mean, not only did I use to watch this when I was a kid but I just finished watching season 1 on blu-ray a couple of weeks ago (I don't have the complete series and I'm hoping season 2 will be released on blu-ray soon).

"The Dragon" had to be the most terrifying of the episodes....tentacled critter grabbing and chewing up people..and impressed on me the reason why YOU DO NOT STAND IN FRONT OF THE AIRLOCK WHEN YOU'VE OPENED UP AN UNFAMILIAR VESSEL. There's a good reason why there are all those derelict ships floating around in that one place, you idiots!

Minmei paused in her concert when she saw the battlepods. She hadn't had a chance to try the silly little wand that talking cat gave her, really didn't want to use it, but she saw no other options. Raising it above her head, she said the words.

"MACROSS PRISM POWER!!!"

The sight Minmei standing there in her Sailor Fuku was too much for Kyron. He was found in his Officer's Pod rolling on the ground laughing.
