Have you ever noticed the similarities between Channellers (Nightbane: Through the Glass Darkly) and Mystic Knights (Rifts: Federation of Magic)? Their P.P.E. channeling abilities are eerily similar. What do you think?
Also, would you ever let a Channeller develop any of the Mystic Knight abilities? I can easily see them recharging batteries, powering energy weapons, or shooting energy bolts.

Mystic Knights are Mystics trained differently.
The Channeler class is a grouping of types of types of intuitive and granted magic types.
So the answer to the topic question is no. So the others questions are moot.
