A Totalitarian High-Magic/Science Utopia w Immortal God-King

I have been trying to come up with an alternative version of Rifts Dimension and the Megaverse in General but I am also trying to stick to Canon details as much as possible except in instances when things do not fit to my philosophies.

Phase World 5, Rifter 18 and Aliens Unlimited has some pretty fantastic world-building ideas.

What do you think of an Utopian world where there is unlimited wealth, absolutely no form of suffering and poverty at all, where there is High Science and High Magick comparable to the technology levels of the Elders/Dominators.

Every citizen of this world can just sit back and chill out in their homes day in, day out if they do not wanna work at all and no one is gonna say ****. Advanced Robots will take care of all dirty business and manual labour and ****.

But then, the government of this world will be Totalitarian Government where no form of crime and lawlessness will be allowed. Hell, with unlimited wealth, high science and high magick to take care of all your desires and happiness, there wouldn't be any need for anyone to engage in crime and lawlessness.

Also this government will be ruled by an Immortal God Emperor and his Advisors and Generals. Kinda like the Japanese Feudal Empire of Old. Emperor, Shogun, Damiyos.

This way, no fool get let greediness for power and authority corrupt his own mind and try to destabilize the power structure in order to fight for power and authority in this empire.

Of course, ever citizen is welcomed to serve as a samurai or Shugenja where you can get free gene-tech and permanency warded upgrades in return for time served.

ALright I am mixing Legend of Five Rings game philosophies with Rifts here.

Bottom line is, I don't see why a Utopia world with unlimited wealth and riches and luxuries can't be a Totalitarian Monarchy world of old. Especially when the same Utopia has access to both High Magick and High Science.

In fact, I would argue that an Utopia world with unlimited access to High Magick and High Science would need more of a Totalitarian Monarchy government with severe restrictions on freedoms than a primitive world where the highest technology is the technology of making a fire.

The more magick and science which the average citizen has access to which he can used to change his world of reality, the less free will such citizens should have to avoid abuse of such powers to corrupt the world and existing utopian structure.

Where are the playable hooks and adventures for this world? What is interesting to the players when they visit? Are the tourists not poverty stricken?

This is why free will must be extremely controlled in a world of unlimited wealth, unlimited science and unlimited magick. To prevent renegades from abusing such power to destroy and destabilize reality.

And when I say free will, I don't mean petty freedoms like the right to free speech and demonstrate and all that crap.

I believe that higher races of beings look at free will and freedoms much differently from us.

If you have the magic, power and technologies to teleport, heal, resurrect, fly without machines plus other miracles, what need do you have for freedoms and free will?

I realize I am being ambiguous here. Afterall, many people think freedoms and free will are one and the same but in reality they are not.

Where are the playable hooks and adventures for this world? What is interesting to the players when they visit? Are the tourists not poverty stricken?

I am kinda thinking of an extremely closed world society like the oni world who is very hierarchical. There wouldn't be too much tourist interaction unless the tourists are extremely evolved beings like dragons or elders or gods.

Unevolved creatures like humans would be banned from my world and interactions with humans will only commence if there are no other choice.

There are castes in my world but they don't really suffer from caste differentiation like what we have experienced in this world. Citizens and their families get demoted down the caste line if they don't follow the emperor's way of thinking and families get promoted if they make sacrifices to support the emperor's regime.

Support me and you will be rewarded.

Immensely.

Oppose me and you will be punished.

Severely.

Something like that.

The Imperium of Man is only interested in territorial expansion and wealth/power accumulation.

My Empire is only interested in the evolution of the race to its upmost potential.

Think of an enlightened race full of martial artists found in rifts japan, china 2 heroes and mystic china.

This race has access to high magic and high science too.

Most importantly, the most evolved of the races are too busy studying the arts of immortality to engage in territorial expansion and wealth/power accumulation.

Because the elders of this race understand that, when a being transform himself into an immortal god, there wouldn't be any need for such beings to engage in petty territorial expansions and wealth/power accumulations.

So what's the biggest playing hooks and adventures for this world?

The secrets of immortality and godhood!
