Magic Items at nexus/ley lines
One of my players posed a question about why magic items are not stronger at nexus points/ley lines? TW items, power and effect are doubled, Book of Magic. However why are other magic items not doubled or made more powerful?

AFAICT there is nothing indicating that they do or do not.
So its a GMs call.
But "Officially" lack of a statement of approval indicates they do not.

I can think a supernatural explanation to that, but at the end of the day it's GM call.

Magical effects are doubled the same as for spells but damage from the weapon its self are not.
i.e. a cut from a blade still does the same damage but the fireball it shoots is doubled.

You have a cite for that? Or is it from extrapolation?

One or the other.

(First and foremost, this is just a theory I got on the fly, it surely can be rebated and discussed, but at the end of the day that's why we are all in here, don't we? )
Ley line and nexus interact only with living creatures, so they can willingly (albeit it can be unconsciously) channel the magic energy concentrated in the blue magic streams so it can boost magic effects. On the other hand, magic objects don't interact with with such energy. I can be said that the magic boost process is a sort of "active" effect, so passive objects don't trigger it.
That leaves us with Bio-wizardry (Rune weapons, Iron juggernaut, etc.) grey area where and "object" contains a "living" soul. Well, AFAIK there is no reference in the books that tell us they do are boosted by LL or Nexus proximity. Although I won't be reluctant in letting their magic spells be boosted.
Technowizard devices and vehicles are a whole other think, as the magic "technique" used to made them are specifically aimed to power them through LL&N magic energy. (Although they aren't boosted -there may be exceptions that I can't remember now), just powered).

Re: Magic Items at nexus/ley lines
because the magic weapons/items are enchanted to do a certain task. where magic casting/pyschics being used are drawing in energy to create the effect on the spot.

Re: Magic Items at nexus/ley lines
I believe that if you look at the descriptions of the weapons the splugorth slaver carries, they benefit from increased damage when near ley lines or nexuses.
I'm going from memory, so if someone can check and confirm/refute this, I'd appreciate it.

I don't care about canon answers. I'm interested in good, well-reasoned answers and, perhaps, a short discussion of how that answer is supported or contradicted by canon.
If I don't provide a book and page number, then don't assume that I'm describing canon. I'll tell you if I'm describing canon.
