Black Market Art (not regarding the cover)

Unread post by The Dark Elf »

I have skimmed through the book and I have to say that the most eye catching artwork (that lead me to read those sections first) were the portraits of the OCCs by A. L. Ashbaugh!

An unusual assignment for her but I was really impressed! Great work! :ok:
Rifter 52 Cannibal Magic
Rifter 55 The Ancestral Mystic P.C.C.
Rifter 59 The Lopanic Games adventure "The Lion, the Ditch & the Warlock". Illustrations to this adventure can be found here.

I was really wowed by the artwork for the OCC's as well. They were well done and did not include lots of beefy super-hero looking types that has become common for the books. I think more of the artwork needs to come back to realistic physical proportions such as this.

+1 BUT the Shadow Boy and the Ironmage are the most "eye catching" by far...

Thanks guys.

I am glad everyone seems to enjoy those pieces. They were very different from what I am used to doing, but it was a welcome challenge :)

I am willing to bet that if you shoot Amy an email, she has quite a few prints for sale....

I'd say that is a safe bet.

When you contact her, ask for the Mumah discount.

Is it possible to buy prints from you. I just loved the (D'norr) Black Market Enforcer OOC, picture! It is the best art I have seen in any Rifts books i have read :)

Sorry for the slow response - haven't been around the forums in a while!

I do sell prints, though I have not made any of the Black Market pieces yet. It just so happens I am trying out a new print shop this week, so hopefully, I will have some new print runs soon :)

I'll add that, while nobody's mentioned my meager additions to the book, I did manage to sell off two of my originals, and still have the Mars Tumbler & Big Wheel, but now with mat & board (used Kevin's gear at the warehouse to do it as well!)

I spent a good deal of time in December & January doing that. Getting the occaisional preview as well. The most difficult part of visiting the office? Not drooling on Chuck Walton's originals for Northern Gun. You guys are gonna love that one.
