Re: Magic Contracts?
There is the Sacred Oath spell in Mystic Russia under the Old Beliver OCC's Nature Magic. it's a level 1 spell. The problem is it only effected himself, so he could swear an oath binding on himself, presumably to convince people to beleive him. A spell that effects other people would presumably be higher level and actually cost PPE, but it gives you an example to work with.

Re: Magic Contracts?
A scroll or talisman could in theory be used to cast Sacred Oath allowing anyone to use self bind to an oath. Mutally interlocking oaths with clauses like 'if and only if' or 'as long as so and so does this, I shall do the other' and the like could allow for some interresting, interbinding oaths.
The rules are not a bludgeon with which to hammer a character into a game. They are a guide to how a group of friends can get together to weave a collective story that entertains everyone involved. We forget that at our peril.

Hmm. This is interesting. I could make the oath work the other way, but then I'd have to figure out a "god" or other being that the oath could be swore on (maybe an alien intelligence?), and that delivers the punishment if the oath is broken.
I'd suggest Rurga, from palladium fantasy. she's a warrior goddess of Truth as well as Retribution, and killed her own husband for a little white lie. She has the innate power to flawlessly detect falsehoods, or any form of deception, and is a very active goddess and is stated to pay attention to the prayers of followers and help or answer as she can.

if you were doing it in PF one thing you could ddo would be some form of runic writing on a paper that is made indestructable by a diabolist i think both parties would have to use their real names though and in PF true names hold alot more power then the other settings.

Unfortunately this is in Phase World...
There is no magic practiced in the Palladium dimension that cannot conceivably be found in the Three Galaxies. The UWW in all likelihood has practitioners of virtually every school of magic imaginable. It wouldn't necessarily be common, but it should be available with the right connections and enough credits to burn.

Re: Magic Contracts?
The UWW has an entire guild of rune smiths who havn't lost the secrets of full rune magic, let alone mere diabolism.
That said, simply writing a contract on paper with a rune dosn't make the contract magical, it just makes it so you can't destroy the physical contract.

Re: Magic Contracts?
Ohh I agree but in order for magical contract to work it would need to have your true name or signed in your own blood or something else that might open you up to attack/folly.
anyhow you are right it would need more than to be written in runes. was saying use the indistructable silver one to make it be unbrakeble physicly as well.

Wasn't exactly a little white lie, but it wasn't like he really meant it as a lie... but she also gave him like 3 or 4 chances, and he kept with the lie..
Short version: She was pregnant, and she had asked him if he loved her with all of his heart, and he kept answering yes. AFTER she killed him, she says that she knows it was only the unborn kid(s?) that kept his answer from being true, but, he did lie to her, so she had to kill him.
