Calling All Bletherad Sages

Unread post by Majestic »

I saw this posting under "Byzantium History" thread in this Forum:

Tyberius wrote:High Seas, 2nd Ed pages 82 to 90 is where you start.

Some non specific timeline info in the Core Rule book pg 280 and then pg 282.

tiny detail in LOB pg 41 & 42, 45, 49, 123 & 124.

Exactly! It made me wonder if there was any thread in here that listed page numbers and books for other "harder-to-find" locations on the PFRPG world map. I find the biggest struggle to newcomers of the game is trying to figure out which book has information on each location (e.g. city, island, land, etc.) Obviously, larger entities such as the Western Empire and Mount Nimro are self-explanatory. But for the smaller regions, does something like this exist?

Just checking.... :)

A quick-reference guide to Palladium Fantasy? That's an ambitious proposition.

High Seas has the widest array of small locations, focusing on the archipelagos around the rim of the continent. It also includes Lemuria in the Sea of Despair and Credia, a city in the Land of South Winds.

Island at the Edge of the World details a few spots in the Old Kingdom and a few islands.

PF 1st Edition details the Tombs of Gersidi, an extensive dungeon.

Most of the other books are pretty straightforward regarding random, small locations.

To compile a list of all small locations would be pretty exhaustive. Are you looking for anything specific, or just a big quick find table?

Greetings and Salutations. I quoted the part I wanted to address, and underlined the specific section that caught my attention.

First, Credia is in Timiro, found in Book 2: Old Ones.

Secondly (and more importantly), as someone who's researched the Land of the South Winds the best I can (which includes trying to find every reference in every PF book, which means 7 books total, not counting at least 3 Rifters), I'd like to know if there's something I missed (I'm not perfect and it's quite possible I missed a reference).

Could you mean the City of Sulanok and/or the Village of Ramsbottom (both located on the Pendaltor Peninsula)? Note: Both cities are only found in 1st Edition and not in Second Edition (as that adventure was removed).

Or could it be about the Floenry Island Chain (such as Oen and Burcee)? Note: Found in 1st and 2nd Editions.

If it's about something else, I'd love to know what. For note, I'm not trying to call you out. I just really want to know if I missed something. Anyways, I think that's all for now. Thank you for your time and patience, please have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys for now.

That's what I get for typing without looking stuff up. You're absolutely right, I was referring to Sulanok and Ramsbottom, and I was going only on my memory (I don't have the 1st Ed version anymore). That book had the most extensive and detailed South Winds references I've seen in the various Palladium Fantasy books.

My bad, and kudos to you for calling me out on it. I hope your project is going well!
