Who wants Psyscape2?
Who want Psyscape2?
The original Psyscape das not give any detail about the city.
I think Palladiumbooks need to make Psyscape2,giving imported info about the City, like notable places and people.
Tells how are things in 110 p.a.
Maybe add the CS Psi-Battalion,s info from Rifter.
Tell me what do you think?

Re: Who wants Psyscape2?
If not psycape then some other psychic oriented source book/world book. Of the three major power types tech/magic/psy psychics really have gotten the short end of the stick for new content over time.

Re: Who wants Psyscape2?
Im with Kaid. I don't necessarily want Psyscape 2, but I do want to see more psychic powers in each of the three standard categories, as well as more specialized psionics. (like Phase powers, Oni Ninja abilities, or Mind Bleeder powers). When compared to magic, psionics are so behind the power creep curve. Id also like to see the Mental Skills in Rifter 19 become canon, with chi bonuses being applied to ISP.
I want to see from Palladium:
Updated Aug 2015
-Rifts: Dark Woods/Deep South, Space 110 PA, Scandinavia
-Mechanoids: Space (MDC)
-Robotech: Errata for Marines timeline, Masters Deluxe with SC and UEEF gear, Spaceships
-Updated Errata for post-2006 printings of Rifts books
-Searchable, quality PDFs/E-pubs of current Rifts titles

They could do both..have a Psyscape broken down like a city with various sections such as "ninja town" and a Mind bleeder section of town. and also add a class or two of Psychic based on necromancy, one on earth and other traditional elements as well.
as for Mental skills, yes...ISP could use boosting skills.
Had a thought on on power categories would a universal one work with powers all psychics could choose from be viable, in addition to the specialized ones already in play? The universal ones could also be for Minor and major Psychics so the Master Psionic has something to differ and show there mastery over the minors/majors.

Re: Who wants Psyscape2?
I think one big issue has kept them from adding to psychic powers at least the normal non super classifications is the fact that in theory almost any OCC and many RCC can get access to them. So in theory I can see them having balance concerns but another good psi sourcebook/world book is probably long overdue. Magic overall is a bit behind tech for new fun stuff but at least magic users did get lemuria which has a ton of great magic items/armor/vehicles pyschics have been pretty limited.
Off the top of my head other than psyscape, the hydromancer from the lemuria book and some random OCC over time that have either a very specific psi power/powers such as the psi animals from south america 2 there pretty much has been no additions/expansions of psychics either OCC or power wise.
The hydromancer is one of the first big psi "adds" in ages and pretty much all their new powers both normal hydro kinetic powers and super hydro kinetic powers are limited to just themselves which was disappointing. I think there was supposed to be a second super psychic for lemuria called the shrieker but it got cut although I believe there was some mention by somebody wanting to readd it to a new navy source book.
With some of the recent rifters I would be all about a PSI Battalion book given that the CS appears to have great interest in psychics as their way of defending against magic and have access to advanced genetic/cloning tech it would potentially be a great way of introducing new psi stuff.

Re: Who wants Psyscape2?
Just another Rifts world book does nothing. It will be better to have the focus of the company to service the other much better settings for the next year.
PF MoM2 will advance the number of types of magics out there and bring more spells available.
RT: Marines will add an unexplored dimension to the RT setting.
The Atorin Empire sourcebook will give an in-depth look at the major culture in the HU galaxy.
There are so many good books that have been 'delayed' and 'shelved' just because the John Rifts want another

drew - while I essentially agree with you and want all the books you mentioned, we BOTH know Rifts will see books next year and
likely before those books you mentioned are even looked at unfortunately.
That being said, I would like to see a Psyscape 2 book. However keep in mind I would use it outside of Rifts as well.....perhaps a Mysteries of Psionics like book ala Mysteries of Magic?

That would be a logical approach. Make it like magic so it spans all games that have psionics.

But there are those who say they want BtS or Fantasy......problem is they are apparently outnumbered by the ones clamouring for more Rifts.

Drew, your right. Rifts is Pally's cash cow and main product. and while rifts will remain a staple in RPG's..they need to expand to others like robotech. so once done the robotech for a bit...get back to rifts. Fully agree with ya. (Ya heard me...I agreed with Drew...mark it on your calender's)

One approach might be to make manuals that span as many of their games as they can. For obvious reasons world books and specific arcs would be game specific..but some books could be all games..like a Psionics, magic and to some degree tech books..like the Contemporary Weapons book.
Certain companies also are in several games..KLS, and Lonestar do get mentions in other games. Villains unlimited hints one mad scientist is from rifts. so they do have precedence to go that way.

Re: Who wants Psyscape2?
I think part of the problem is they have more ideas and worlds then they have staff for. Some of the setting are long over do for a new book. They try to work on the main cash line because they need to go with what sells. But even these are often late.
In closing I would like to say "Will eat for food"
Breath mint?
Have a nice day.
Now where did I put that Sword?
Yes my spelling is bad, but that is the least of my problems.
Is it bed time yet.

If someone did a nifty rifter psionics article that attracts interest, they might flesh it out some more

And if... somone whipped out a mini gun. We run and hide. lol.
Now.. some guys won't... and you can say nice things at their funeral. Rest in Pieces.... Swiss Cheese Man.....

Re: Who wants Psyscape2?
Rather than "Psyscape 2" I would prefer a new world book be titled "Psi Word" as the RMB originally had Erin Tarn describe the place as.
It's not out of line, considering that it's its own astral domain, and over time astral domains CAN grow to the size of planets.
Plus you might need a planet to have a chance against Nxla.

Agreed. Also really wanting LOD3. However, this doesn't stop me from wanting the Rifts titles too. It would be nice if future books (all settings) that are not written directly by KS are written by several writers working on different books concurrently, with lots of input from KS so they don't need a total rewrite. This could clear their "backlog" of late/overdue releases. I believe PB could pull it off and not keep delaying releases or shelving projects.

My apologies up front if my posts come across as argumentative or crass. It is not a personal attack on anyone, just my blunt style. I bear no ill will towards anybody that plays Palladium Games (there’s not enough of us to hold a grudge).

WHAT? Did I just write that last sentence? Am I drunk/stoned/crazy? Past performance says this will never happen. I've hated the delays from the beginning, but still hope for the release of new books. Nevertheless, I would still like more on Psyscape and Psi-Batt. A book on Psionics in general for new powers and or classes would be great in any of PB's settings.
Agreed on most that. A Psi-Batt book/section would be nice. Now to make feasible. two imdieat options..And this after they get the back log done....not before.
1) include in that same book..Factions/specialized units of the CS (since Psi-bat is a CS faction) Could add Des and lonestar/Mutant animals in there nicely as well several infamous or famous CS units..
2) Psionic factions in an all Psionics book. New powers, classes, gear and all kinds of fun stuff for Gm's to throw at us. BUt once they get the promised stuff...I've seen fan stuff that would probably make the cut if it was published by Pally..

Re: Who wants Psyscape2?
I wouldn't mind another book, but I would prefer it be called "Psi World" based on the original term Erin Tarn used to refer to it in RMB, and possibly be designed as a Dimension Book as opposed to a World Book, based on exploration of Psyscape itself and its coexistence with the Astral Plane, and broader ramifications than just its interaction with Rifts Earth, such as its Megaversal implications with the Minion War, possible connections to Nightbane or PF, etc.
