Kickstarter: Battle Systems Sci-fi Modular Terrain (28mm)

Here is a Kickstarter that is building the terrain for the interiors of Spaceships for 28mm scale. This is almost perfect for the size of the Zentradi ships as they are about 5 times larger than a human. (6mm:30mm). The price point is a little high for me coming from the UK, but there are others this may work for. I really wish I had an extra $140 to drop on a Stronghold level backing.

I'm mostly in the same boat. I'm backing the Timothy Zahn game Parallax. If that doesn't pan out I may have a bit extra to put toward something like this or maybe some more grab bags. The shipping is a bit much, but it looks pretty awesome. Looks like I have about a month to decide.

Yes, I mean the battlesystems. I just bought a couple sets of terraclips for another game that I play and I'm a big fan of them. This is just GOLD for someone who wants terrain and has limited storage space.

That will be the first I backed that didn't succeed. I just put in on Battle Systems at the 70 pound level.

I only know of Myst and Riven by reputation, but my girlfriend loves those games, so I'm hoping the last 48 hour emails draw in enough people to cross the finish line.

First time I'll have bought someone a gift (at least) 2 years before they'll get it.

I wont find the money in time for the Mars Attacks one, that is the other one I wanted.

Even though I liked that Mars Attacks! I couldn't get myself to go in on that one. For now I'll stick with RRT and Terrain for it.

Doesn't really seem to be much savings on double set and I am not spending $500 on terrain.

Looking at the most recent update for this. It shows different base sizes and I'm realizing it is tooled for 25mm bases. If the RRT ones are 40mm (I think that was the measure) I wonder how much that affects things. In the pic of the most recent update they do have a larger creature on a bigger base. My thoughts are that the RRT stuff won't fit on the single width gantries. That may not matter depending on how you set it up, but I don't like the idea that it won't work for some of what I wanted. Multi level terrain.

I'm realizing the gantries can just be doubled up if they are single...problem solved. However I also see that most likely the doors are only wide enough to allow Battloids through, which makes sense. Anything with wings will clip them and I'm not sure about the pods. The infantry should fit, which also matches up. My main problem was the bases and by making sure all gantries are double wide I will have enough space for even the 50mm, I think.
