What Rifters are the Plasm/Amoeba and the Bubble Magic RCCs?

Unread post by Malleable »

I'm going crazy here. I was looking at both of them yesterday. Now I am trying to find them and can't find either.

Thanks,
Mal

The Races you are talking about is in R3.

Bubble magic is in Spirit west, I believe. and is associated with a Magic OCC.
I don't remember seeing any Bubble Magic in the Rifters except a one or two spells in R9.5 in the Lud. Magic spells.

Aren't the Yahabbayar bubble mages in Psyscape?

Dimension Book 7 also has a plasmoid familiar option for shifters.

Yerp, which almost-sorta-kinda makes the R3 world deuterocanonical, kinda like the space magic. :D
The rules are not a bludgeon with which to hammer a character into a game. They are a guide to how a group of friends can get together to weave a collective story that entertains everyone involved. We forget that at our peril.

Any strategies on how to steal bubble magic from the Yhabbayar? I can't think of any straightforward means of doing so. Even if we could wipe out their psychic abilities and a Soul Harvester ate them, I think it said something about their unique alien brains and spatial sense being needed to do it, so you still couldn't do the magic.

Perhaps if we also ate their brains? Or fleshsculpted a severed head and enslaved it to co-operate?

Enslave them into a rune item. Maybe a rune bubble wand?

Damn! I've made my decision. I'm going Plasm. No one wants to eat a Plasms' brain.

In the usage that puts deuterocanonical as to mean "sort of canon". Yah....sort of. In that it gives an arguing stance to try to persuade a "Only Canon" GM to allow you to use it.
