Magic Based Object Read?

Unread post by FatherMorpheus »

Someone asked me about a spell version of Object Read. And I was amazed to discovered there wasn't one that I could find.

The psi power Clairvoyance has a spell counterpart Oracle, Astral Projection is Astral Projection, and many others, but Object Read (psi power in Rifts) doesn't have a spell counter-part.

Anyone ever see one in any of the Palladium books?

BTS 1 has the spell Impression. Which is almost exactly an Object Read

The rules are not a bludgeon with which to hammer a character into a game. They are a guide to how a group of friends can get together to weave a collective story that entertains everyone involved. We forget that at our peril.

Very cool! OK, it is in Nightspawn as well. While it isn't exactly Object Read, I think Object Read provides more information but with chance of failure. It is really close. Thank you very much.

It was also in the draft of Mysteries of magic, but I don't recall if it got included.

It would seem that it did not make the cut.

The only 'magic spell' I've discovered that is like object read is the object read dead in the necro spells in rifts africa.

*wonders if that or animate dead works on Zavor, unsure if natural abilities persist after death*
