Fourth Dimension Transformation Question
If you cast Fourth Dimension Transformation on yourself, what do you get to take with you? Clothes? Armor? Man-sized (worn, not piloted) power armor? Is there a rule of thumb in the books for what goes with you if you use a spell that transforms you but doesn't alter your form and doesn't explicitly say if your equipment is affected?
D-Shift Two Dimensions states that it affects the caster and anything he is wearing or that is on his person. Would it be safe to infer that shifting yourself up via Fourth Dimension Transformation would similarly affect items you are wearing or that are on your person? I just don't see how it would make sense to be able to shift in and out of the fourth dimension at will but be forced to leave everything you're wearing behind.

Re: Fourth Dimension Transformation Question
By the text of the spell, your gear does not become four dimensional, but that's also pretty irrelevent as you can drag 3d objects into 4d anyway sinse 4d is infintely larger than 3d.

Re: Fourth Dimension Transformation Question
My gut feeling would be that this would be like a metamorphosis spell and affect nothing else (this is for game balance issues, this prevents the classic 4-D assassin leaving nukes around). I would not have an issue with a small amount of mundane, non-magical clothing...but I would say that there is no way that power armor would be affected.
The rules are not a bludgeon with which to hammer a character into a game. They are a guide to how a group of friends can get together to weave a collective story that entertains everyone involved. We forget that at our peril.

Re: Fourth Dimension Transformation Question
In spite of the name, the spell does not make you an actual 4th dimension being, the name is merely slang. I believe the term it uses is pseudo, which means fake...
So basically you fake like you're 4D by acquiring many of the abilities 4D beings have.
As for taking gear, that would follow the rules of whatever spells you're using cost-free.
Although yeah, there's no guidelines for stepping in and out... so I think in regard to THAT aspect you would be naked and gearless, unless you want to give them the capacity of the spells.

Id say your personal gear, armor, backpack, ect. But none of it is going to work while your the 4th diminsional state.
Heck the power matrix in the 4th diminsion might not be the same as ours, the physics are deffintly diffrent, say its all innert in its current state.

Wouldn't matter either way since you can't interact with anything in the 3rd dimension.

I dunno there may be some usefulness of gear when you are isolated in 4th dimension state which we are not thinking of...
Maybe versus others also in that state... dunno

Re: Fourth Dimension Transformation Question
I am not seeing any mention of gear in the spell 4-D Transformation, in either England of the Book of Magic.
Personally, I would expect that normally worn equipment would come with the caster. But that's me.

It would be awfully weird to walk out of what you're wearing, wouldn't it? Though I'm sure I could find a way to make that work to my advantage.
