"Wait, we're paying for our own books?! This is HIGH SCHOOL, not college! Doesn't the public school system subsidize our educational material?"
"The subsidy is going into damage control and repair."
"But I thought our school was doing double-duty in training first responders in damage assessment and control?"
"That was before they realized they'd have to have EOD or xenobiology specialists come in on every incident."

"Principle, why don't you talk about your family?"
"Because I'm trying to protect them."
"I don't understand."
"Given what goes on here on a daily basis, I don't want my family finding out about what I do here. I especially don't want anybody associated with the school or with a grudge against the school perhaps targeting my family and my relations in some cross-eyed attempt at getting back at me for some imagined slight. I'll tell you this much: I have a brother, who, the last I heard, had some prestigious posting in the military...so prestigious and important that I haven't heard from him in over three years, almost to the point where we thought he was dead. But apparently his work is so important that he's virtually incommunicado. That sort of work I don't want to have jeopardized on account of a few hotheads around here."
"That's rather...enlightened and courageously self-sacrificing, Principle Jones."
"I think of it as doing my part."

And the few letters either can get to the other are so heavily (censored) that they're lucky to get more than a few conjunctions out of the entire page.

you know the really sick part.. I had characters that that "blob" teacher would be a nice warmup. "mach 20 speed?" why is he so slow?

or you know the "best way" to kill something that fast? saturation bombardment. IE don't give him anywhere to dodge...

I know my char alecia on occasion used vehicles with cfractional ballistic weapons (~10% of C or about mach 88 )

Flamethrowers, fuel air explosives, fan-lasers, singularity grenades....area of effect weaponry, especially if delivered light speed or greater. You want a nice area of denial...

Ice Guard as yet has no official presence at MCHS#69, though it's been hinted that the current principle is Major Jones' brother, and that various members of the IG have served as instructors before being sent into exile at IG, or else have defected/run BACK to Ice Guard(where it's arguably safer).
Though they ARE wondering how the mutant arctic wolverines made the transition to warmer climes so freakin' fast.

Well it could be that some Newbie UEG inspector did a review of the IG and found that they were lacking a real edcuation and send them to MCHS#69 for remedal education. :?

Maybe that's the reason why they got sent to The Warm while the UEG/UEDF/ASC tried to purge the IG base due there the sheer number of nearly world ending screw ups but for some reason the Cleaner teams are never heard from again while the IG is geting their education.

So after a large number of Clear teams go M.I.A. at the IG the UEG big wigs send the IG back to their base in the hopes that whatever got the Cleaner teams can be contained by the IG and when the IG return to base who knows who or WHAT they will find at their base.
