Yeah, canon RTers would be slightly non-plussed by the situation on Defiance Earth; they're used to dealing with only one or two hostile species at a time, and having the entire Earth looking like the aftermath of a Genesis Pit would be a little shocking. They're also used to cleaner skies, but they'd also remember the in-fall of material after the Rain of Death. If there's a coordinated Robotech fleet around, they'd be gainfully employed cleaning up Earth orbit(provided the Arks aren't packing too much in the way of unusual hair-trigger weaponry. Planetside, the Rters would be good with their armored milspec gear(since the general state of tech seems to be hgh-SDC among the resident Terrans). They'd be a power to contend with, especially if the Flower of Life got loose(the FoL might have some interesting interactions with the Voltan terraforming process, though).
Rifts Earth natives would feel right at home on Defiance-Earth; even find the place a bit cushy compared to home.
Was enjoying the show, but then, just stopped watching it. Got caught up in other things. Really would like to get back to watching it.

Really sounds like a place you can take the family to for a weekend getaway.

Well Rand gave it a five star rating so it can't be all that bad.
