Ask Edwards how useful it is. The little bastards undercut his corner office...

Ahh ok then it's nice to see that this class is well *grounded* with real life aplications.

Because it breaks the aesthetic symmetry of the school building when the corner drops off.

Yes, the guy who gets blown up every third day of the week? And twice on Sundays? You can kack Edwards just about anywhere and any time, but reconstructing part of a public building? That takes time, it takes dealing with the unions, it gets reported to the town council where some chucklehead floors a motion to reign in the Board of Education and those clowns over at MCHS#69 and save money on the buildings budget.

True but the UEG does not want the students running at large in the other schools so that's why they have not shut dow MCHS#69 dispite the damage it has susstaned at the hands of the students.

Yes, but the school is considering regulations limiting students whacking T.R. on-campus to methods that limit collateral damage, if not do away with the possibility altogether. It's been pointed out by some faculty members that this will simply encourage students to take up the methodology of assassins....small blades to the kidneys, ricin pellets, poison gas, garrotes, throat-slitting, etc.
Naturally, Edwards is protesting ANY regulations that permit, let alone ENCOURAGE, his being killed.

You make a good point on that but it could be aurged that students using large area explosives to off Edwards today could be the ASC's demolitions experts of tomorrow.
Say how many more centuries of penace does Edwards have left?

Worse, it's argued that regulating on-campus hits will encourage students to wait to use WMDs when Edwards is OFFcampus, The last time Edwards' car exploded, it was three blocks away and still went up with enough force to blow in windows from that far away.

Yep, better that the students take out Edwards in a semi controled envroment with the smallest of chances of innocent civilian casulties then an uncontroled attack on Edwards that could result in civilian casulties in the seven diget range.

Didn't help that the students figured a way to rig a missile or other delivery system(remote control go-cart, drone, etc..) to home in on Edward's court-mandated ankle-bracelet...or, later, after TR took to amputating his own foot, the implanted transponder.

True and while the students in question where given the third degree for reckless endangerment they were given high marks for the creative and invoatve use of technolgy.

Re: Monument City Highschool #69(open humor thread)
when someone muttered about the excessive collaterial damage to school property to the wrong person (and no one has figured out exactly who was involved.... )
the next day there were 2 teams of people wandering the campus and scanning "everything" (all the buildings, terrain, decorative plants, etc.) one team looked a lot like shemarrian warriors who were making comments about nannite templates, and reconstruction systems. the other team was a "monst-rex" sized Bengal Tiger talking to a ~6' 2" girl who appears to be ~17 (IE she looks like she should be going to the school herself) who were making cryptic remarks about shields, layered shields, structural integrity fields, temporal stabilizers (and template reconstruction) holographic emitters, and virtual matter stabilized systems... when the cat made some comment about the power plant needed to run it all the girl said that it wouldn't be That big of an issue, as they could always use a "core tap", and several Zero point modules if necessary as supplemental power. About that point the Tiger asked, "but who is going to Pay for all of that?"

About that point the Tiger asked, "but who is going to Pay for all of that?"
Can't quit place the girl and Tiger.
I will give you a "hint" If the "shemarrians" figured out who they were.... it would validate the "Alecians" belief that there is an actual "Alecia, and Megarea"
whats the really scary part is if you are familiar with the Stargate SG1 universe, they are talking about ZPM's as supplemental batteries if the "core Tap" system can't provide enough instantaneous power to handle the power requirements they are considering.
ZPM (Zero Point Modules) in themselves constitute an "insane" level of energy storage, like throw up a PLANETARY shield (at least for a small amount of time) off of one of the things, and they are talking about using them as "boosters".
a core tap is a power source that depending on what you read, either reaches into another dimension/universe, OR taps into the fundamental energies of the universe to generate power. it would make the reactor core for the Death Star look like a 12v car battery in comparison.

I'm a big Star Gate fan. I miss that show. And still don't have a clue on who those 2 are, so please tell me. Though I wouldn't be surprise is I feel like hitting my head against the wall after you tell me.

Re: Monument City Highschool #69(open humor thread)
the "girl" is my char Alecia DeVreis "goddess of high tech warfare" (and some times sales person for DeVreis heavy industries, and KHI (Kara Heavy Industries) .... its always a bad sign when Characters have a "hat" as inter dimensional Arms Dealers who can put enough combat material into a theater to completely change the nature of the combat.
the "monst-rex" sized tiger that was chatting with Alecia is the Character Megarea. Megarea started "life" as a copied intelligence AI (the one category not listed as an option in the robots section in sourcebook 1) basically the back story was that Alecia got into a battle under the eyes of an archie 3oz and was firing a plasma ejector "from the hip" when it got hit and lost containment right as she pulled the trigger. it "exploded" and basically should have killed her. she survived (because of archie intervention) and basically got turned into a "real" shemarrian cyborg. the thing is she effectively went "rogue" immediately which archie was ok with, and would come back and trade info for resupply.
various stuff happened and she ended up in various "dimensions" such as battletech, star wars, manhunter, star trek (various) robotech, and macross (several times) etc.
Eventually she graduated to being a lesser Deific being (last writeup had her having ~9k mdc I think) and hanging out with 2 pantheions the Norse one, and the "real" greek/roman one. in the greek/roman pantheon she is sort of a henchman of Ares (goddess of high tech warfare) whereas he is the god of war.
Anyway she really did (in our campaigns) pick up all the info she could about the tech in use, to the point that she understood and could reproduce (manufacture) it at will and deploy it at a whim.
for instance if she wanted to she could walk into the school and hand out "fitted" sets of CVR-3 body armor to every student and staff member, or outfit at least a 300,000 person army in under a week. If she felt the need she can also do the same thing with star wars, or star trek armies etc.
If you can imagine a setting she has likely been there at least once.

Did you given them coffee?, squirrels and coffee(especialy expresso) DO NOT MIX, such a basic and well know matter in basic genetic engineering.
Unless you paint them red, Ork genetics and Orkish genetic engineering is an *Artform* alll of it's own.
