Cheaper dimensional portal spell?
Is there a cheaper to user dimensional portal spell? Just wondering for a TW item ive got in my head.

There is the Summon Pathway spell in the TtGD book.
But there are more limitations and story things involved with this spell.

If you use the RUE TW creation rules, you can offset the cost by supplying more gems than minimally required.
If you don't use the RUE TW creation rules, then, assuming you're the GM, just design the TW item and set activation cost at whatever you think is appropriate.
I don't care about canon answers. I'm interested in good, well-reasoned answers and, perhaps, a short discussion of how that answer is supported or contradicted by canon.

yea but that 1000 ppe cost drives thing higher then i like.

In Rifts: Ultimate Edition Shifters apparently know a "special ritual" version of Dimensional Portal which costs half the P.P.E. to use.

So normally I'm reluctant to make a TW version of a Level 15 Invocation because I consider those to be rare, but here's a couple quick versions:
Device Level 5 (two and a half minute duration)
Use 25 carats of Onyx.
Activation Cost: 100 PPE
Build Cost: $125,000
Device Level 1 (30 second duration)
Use 12.5 carats of Onyx.
Activation Cost: 40 PPE
Build Cost: $20,500 (yes, only 20k)
But that's just the math. The harder part (and more imaginative part) is figuring what the device form should be. I'd go with something like a large door mounted in a portable frame.
