Re: Robotech Crossover question
The really dark and ugly twist to drinking the LCL Kool-Aid would be to have the drinker possessed by the chemical memories of a person/people who got tanged.

"Trouble rather the Tiger in his Lair,
Than the Sage among his Books,
For all the Empires and Kingdoms,
The Armies and Works that you hold Dear,
Are to him but the Playthings of the Moment,
To be turned over with the Flick of a Finger,
And the Turning of a Page"

This Rits could just be trolling Misato with a glass of mango tea.
While Maya was in the shower, Ritsuko just swiped her discarded clothes and ID card for a mean prank("Hey, look, we dissolved a personal AT Field! All in the name of SCIENCE!")
Of course, Maya might not be so forgiving to discover Ritsuko decided to 'sacrifice' her for a few yucks at the expense of Misato's sanity.
Aoba: "I didn't think Maya even KNEW how to pimp-slap somebody."

Re: Robotech Crossover question
The Knights of the True Fiancee sat dejectedly around a table in the back of a canteena in a remote part of Tijuana. They sipped their Tang as their field commander, Cinder Fall verbally castrated them for their ineptitude.
Cinder: "Five boobie-traps in a row and we're not one step closer to Darkraven!"
Just that moment, two dusty, tired women approached the bar.
Sarah: (Looking around) "HEY! ANYBODY HERE KNOW GUY NAMED DARKRAVEN!?!"
Erin: (Facepalms)

The two girls were gestured over, introductions were made (all with fake names, but that was to be expected. Smart? Yes. Powerful and skilled? Absolutely. Subtle? Well...), and the two sat at the table.
"Ladies," Cinder Fall began, "these four with me are known as Knights of the True Fiancee, whereas I a Keeper of the True Continuum. We Keepers are attempting to find Darkraven in order to seal his influence back into his home world. These four are allied with us because they wish to stop a certain bloodline's members from making a choice that could endanger entire sections of the multiverse."
"Why is this guy so dangerous?" Erin asked, sipping her drink.
Cinder smiled at that. "Darkraven is what we call Catalyst. His very presence is what allowed his government to reach beyond the dimensional boundaries. He came to that universe from his original some years prior to a second dimensional breach. A breach that wouldn't have happened had Darkraven not entered through the very same point in space, thus weakening the local spave-time fabric. If he'd left with the rest of his group, then the fabric would have mended itself, rather than become somewhat looser with a rogue anomaly disrupting the weave.
"The reason we are so intent on sealing him back to his homeworld is that his presence has enabled his government to spread far wider and faster than it should have been possible. The sheer number of massive dimensional breaches that they cause on a regular basis *will* cause the fabric of the universes to crumble, dispelling the barriers keeping many of them separate."
"What's so bad about that?" Sarah asked after lapping up her own drink. "Doesn't that mean more stuff, less travel?"
"Not quite. Dimensional mergence is tricky. Say this dimension and the one from next door merged. Let's also say that you, young lady," pointing to Erin, "have an alternate 'you' over there. Once the mergence was complete, you and she would be as one, with only one of you remaining. The question is, 'Which one?' Would it be you, the tough, self-determinate firebrand? Or would it be the housewife virtually chaned to a stove with six children underfoot? And once it was done, the you that emerged would never know that her alternate's life was so radically different.
"As for Darkraven, if we can seal his catalytic influence away, it will be a lot easier to mend the already badly damage fabric separating the universes.
"So tell me, my dears," Cinder wrapped up, leaning back in her chair, "why are *you* looking for this man?"

SRoss kinda called me out there, so I (eventually) answered. I figured giving some info (no matter how suspect it might be coming from Cinder Fall) concerning the philosophy of the Keepers might be a good thing, as well as giving a potential reason (for a given value of 'accurate') for them hunting for Darkraven.

Re: Robotech Crossover question
Interesting exposition on dimensional merging too....
Yeah, the players here are beginning to realize that the megaverse is like an ocean in more than one way, and that the fabric of space/time behaves more and more like water....
For a chilling take on this, read David Brin's short story "The River of Time" where individual peoples' experienced rate of time suddenly starts changing...After being parted from their own child(who is going SLOWER than them) in a world of fast- and slow-timers, the POV character ends with the speculation that 'all rivers eventually end in the ocean...".

Erin looked over at Sarah, who leaned back in her chair and did her best Harrison Ford imitation, and looked back at Cinder across the table. "Well, to be honest, I got into this matter second hand. A new Fourth Waller has appeared on the scene. Normally, this wouldn't concern me but he is scrying events from a location tied to my distant family." Erin saw Cinder's eyes light up, clearly considering the potential for power. Continuing she said, "This being is somehow tied with the events surrounding Darkraven, possibly in competition with another of similar power. If we interfere in Darkraven's favour, it may in some way upset their game. Sarah, came along because she's my friend, and likes to fight.". Erin watched Cinder consider this, but before the Keeper could speak, Erin added, "Your take on Multi-verse theory is 'interesting' but I'm not as unfamiliar with dimensional convergence as you think."
The four knights started to stand but Sarah stopped them with a snarl, covering the sound of the safety coming off her gun.
Locking eyes with Cinder, Erin said, "You see, neither Sarah or I are native to this dimension. Sarah comes from the dimension of RIFTS Earth... *I* on the other hand, am native to a no-longer existent DC Universal parallel. Between Legends and Zero Hour. I don't know anything about this breach that Darkraven came through, and so far the only government I've seen him work with is the UEsG. Moreover," Erin said, as she ignited, "We were BOTH at the battle of Beacon, and while neither of us were anywhere near the tower, we stuck around long enough to know what you did!"

Cinder Fall, even as she readied her spells, held up a hand. "So you don't know? Darkraven is from your friend's Earth. A former Coalition Nautical Commando. And as for what *I* did then, it was NOTHING compared to the true masterminds that have set the wheels in motion. I was simply attempting to explain why stopping the catalyst was so important.
"I have no reason to fight you, nor do my associates. Why don't we all simply part ways and leave this episode behind?"
****
I felt that a small explanation of sorts would be appropriate for why such hard-core 'Reality Stabilizers' might be after wgat appears to be a bit player. I originally had Darkraven enter Robotech on a dimensionally yo-yo'd ARMD-2, which d-shifted during the initial Zentraedi assault. Everyone thought it destroyed until it popped back in two weeks later, along with the NGR troops who were in one of the launch bays for cover during a gargoyle battle. Several years later, I figured that having Emerson doing his singularity bomb thing at the Masters' fleet could easily take place in the same spot, thus increasing the potential of dimensional tearing in the region. Making Darkraven a focal element as a catalyst for dimensional instability was something I added on to add a sense of logic to the hunt by the Keepers (the Knights have different focus, but alliances can get wierd in cross-dimensional environs).

The building fell silent as the two stared at each other, but as powerful as she was, Erin knew that Cinder had the edge here, she could tell Cinder knew it too. As powerful as she was, Erin was what her people called a Superhero. As such, she couldn't possibly go all out in a room full of civilians, Cinder, on the other hand would have no such compunctions...
Sarah took in the scene before her, if it came to a fight, she was confident she could take out the knight across from her, and maybe one of the others, before they could react...
Slowly, Erin stood up... "Sarah. We're leaving..."
Re: Robotech Crossover question
Very interesting. I wasn't about to write for Erin beyond the basics (I have NO idea what all she's capable of), nor Sarah (while I know about Dog Boys, even high-end ones, who0 know what all she picked up at MCHS#69?), or even Cinder beyond conversation (my wife and I prefer to watch Rooster Teeth products when they come out on Blu-Ray, so I haven't a clue as to what all Cinder Fall pulled out during Season 3).
But hey, an idea was planted, even if it's accuracy is somewhat in doubt, right?

I won't spoil it for you, but you'll want to be sitting down when you watch the last episode of season 3.

More than likely, yes. But I think you can see why I didn't write for those characters apart from the basics.

Interesting. Though if you go by Palladium Megaverse, there seems to be no such thing. But its the authers story.

If he'd left with the rest of his group, then the fabric would have mended itself, rather than become somewhat looser with a rogue anomaly disrupting the weave."
Or would it be the housewife virtually chained to a stove with six children underfoot? And once it was done, the you that emerged would never know that her alternate's life was so radically different."
"As for Darkraven, if we can seal his catalytic influence away, it will be a lot easier to mend the already badly damaged fabric separating the universes."
"So tell me, my dears," Cinder wrapped up, leaning back in her chair, "Why are *you* looking for this man?"
*****
She's Power Girl? If not, who is see?

Cinder Fall, even as she readied her spells, held up a hand. "So you don't know? Darkraven is from your friend's Earth. A former Coalition Nautical Commando. And as for what *I* did then, it was NOTHING compared to the true masterminds that have set the wheels in motion. I was simply attempting to explain why stopping the catalyst was so important.
"I have no reason to fight you, nor do my associates. Why don't we all simply part ways and leave this episode behind?"

Thanks for the info!

It is Power Girl, right?

But hey, an idea was planted, even if it's accuracy is somewhat in doubt, right?

THAT is an understatement.

I have heard. I remember when everyone on here was freaking out and refusing to spill ANY details for fear of ruining it. It sounds awesome.

No, Erin Kincade (aka. Blaze) is not Power Girl, the original character was my 500 AP base PC from a friend's Second Edition DC Heroes[sup]TM[/sup] campaign. Originally a very generic fire caster, over the years I rethought her origins and the nature of her powers. (If the DCU could change on an annual basis, why can't my character?) The connection with Sutur was because the campaign was set in Boston, and I wanted to add a divine element. I knew nothing about Celtic/Irish Gods and we didn't have Wikipedia back then. So I've started to try and work that in.
One of these days I'll do a Heroes Unlimited version of her, but not yet...

Nah, probably not. Hate is likely too weak a word for it.

Sorry, just they way you describe her, it sounded like what happened to Power Girl during the reboot. BTW, she sounds cool. Won't mind seeing the stats on her when you do the HU version of her.

Have you been in a cave? Season 3 of RWBY ended in in February. Check YouTube or Crunchyroll.

Re: Robotech Crossover question
The factory was in full swing as production of plasteel and ceramite was fused to create Alpha and Beta frames and plating. Other parts of the factory was producing synthetic muscles and organs of the giant variety. Once done they are soon whisked away to another neighboring factory.
The Eva cages only had the skeletal and mechanical parts in it awaiting for the organic components to be grafted on. The armor was still being developed; it had to be stronger and flexible to handle the Neo-type production models high reflex, or anything thrown at it. Weaponry wasn’t an issue at this time as the Neo-types would have better A.T Fields that could create any melee weapon the pilot desired. A.T Fields shouldn’t be limited to just blocking or turning people into LCL; even if the later was an easy way out.
Shadow was tasked at supervising this buildup of arms and armor. Not his usual job, or his forte for that matter, but The Chronicler couldn’t get his other trusted minions as they were already on other assignments. Leaning against a railing he sighed. He had also been forced to wear his “meat-suit” as it wouldn’t scare the contractors. A flesh and bone construct that was every way in shape and form human. What it lacked however was a soul. Being an undead wraith it was easy to possess it without any opposition from stopping him.
“God I’m booooooorrrrrrred.” He moaned. “Why couldn’t that Kyle guy do this?”
“What? Standing around mopping?”
Shadow whipped around startled. It was harder for him to sense others in the “suit”.
There stood Lin Kyle in his business suit. A cup of coffee was in both hands with one being offered to him. With another aspirated sigh he took the offer. It wasn’t every day that Shadow could actually partake in eating seeing as he is what he is. Kyle soon was next to him leaning against the railing looking over all the cages.
“Back from another business venture,” Shadow looked over and caught the violet hue of the suit, “Or something else?”
Kyle chuckled. “Little column A, a little of B. I secured more assets for “him” to use against those knights or whatever. Then had a good time with Bruce at a tribute concert. Prince passed away on one of the baseline earths, so we paid our respects.”
Shadows eyes narrowed. “You of all people get to have a good time while I’m here babysitting a bunch of contractors. Is there no justice in this reality?”
Kyle shrugged. “Multiversal karma’s going to get me soon so why not enjoy the little things while I can. You on the other hand have all of eternity to enjoy anything you want. Hell from what I understand you accumulated at least a century or twos worth of vacation days.” He looked over at him. “So why do you still stay at this job?”
He gave a low growl. He’d been asked this before, and it won’t be the last.
“There’s a saying. There’s no rest for the wicked. Somewhere out there someone is doing something to hurt people, kill people, or worst. So why am I still here? So I can make damn sure that any half-witted b@stard doesn’t hurt anyone else. That’s why.”
Silence fell over them. Kyle could practically see a dark cloud over Shadow.
“Do you… do you want to talk about it?”
“You’re not my friend, you’re my co-worker. If I want to talk about my f’ed up life I’d go to my therapist… if I had one.” And with that he took one long gulp of the coffee.
The Chronicler was still busy looking over all the feeds from the towers. One version of NG had a fourth impact unfolding. Another RT universe had the military keeping alive a Meltradi scout. Darkraven was still on the run, and could see the others hot on his trail. Sending someone to give him more time and to trip the others up sounded like a good idea.
He put the call out to one of his hired hands. Deadpool could use the money right now seeing as his pain medications just skyrocket in price. That should keep everyone busy.
Kyle just came back. His report stated that The Emperor of Man was all too grateful to send “The Ultrasmurfs” to his cause. Ever since he had that text-to-speech device he’d really let loose on everyone in his Imperium.
As for the Eva production everything was still smooth sailing. The Neo-type was a step above what the U.E.s.G had, even that one insane Eva wasn’t a match for what these things are. Their black cores would give them the full force of a dying sun, enough to bend reality itself and to break or mend the fabric of space and time. It would give their pilots the power of gods, or maybe more.
This is why The Chronicler had to choose who they are carefully. So far only one candied was chosen. One he was sure to stop the knights. One that could make it so reality wouldn’t be shredded not from random crossovers and rewrites, but from becoming unbalanced.
Rei Ayanami Hunter was the first.

Given the fact I'm using the ones from this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eG82ruvH0jc) Lord Calgar was all to enthusiastic to send Cato Sicarius and his lot on a suicide mission, one at which he hopes to fail. Crazy lot I tell you. But it will do.

Practically EVERY campaign in WH40K against anyone other than the Tau can be considered to be suicide mission....(okay, there was the whole Crusade against Spinach, but that's best forgotten...)

On an island surrounded by multiversal bubbles, the Tuner smiled. His pawns unknowingly were carrying out his plans perfectly. Just a little blurb
***
Shinji, Stud-Muffin of the multiverse, voted 'Most Available Bachelor in History" nine times running, and all-around good guy, was in a quandary. On the one hand, none of the usual 'dating & breeding' seekers had been around in a while, and he was feeling pent up. On the other hand, this smoking hot alien female in his hotel bedroom was making eyes at him. Thankfully, she didn't know his name, rank, affiliation. She just thought he was cute and asked if he wanted to go somewhere and have some fun.
He smiled as her shirt lowered, revealing a truly exquisite upper body. As he leaned close, she whispered, "Now unsheath your penis-horns while I excrete my lubricating acids."
"Wait, what?"

A different blurb. Not exactly a crossover, but I had to share.

Gendo Ikari, Bastard King over All Which He Surveyed, was heading to the elevator after a long day of paperwork, dealing with SEELE's BS, and Fuyutsuki's flatulence.
The doors opened, and there stood Shinji next to Misato. Gendo looked down dispassionately at the useful tool, even as Shinji looked down and away, and Misato looked at the two concernedly.
In a flash, Shinji's fist flashed out, slamming Gendo in the groin. The elevator door closed. Groaning, Gendo slowly got to his feet, feeling that the situation had perhaps escaped his grasp a bit.
The elevator doors opened again, showng Asuka standing over Rei, doing this:

The elevator doors closed once more, leaving Gendo completely confused, wondering just what was being slipped into his coffee and by whom.

Have you been in a cave? Season 3 of RWBY ended in in February. Check YouTube or Crunchyroll.
I was meaning, what he was trying to say, was that from RWBY, Season 3, and after thinking about it, most likely no. And yes, I've seen ALL of season 3, though I had fallen a little behind on it at the end. With the way it ended, I now have a love hate relationship with Rosterteeth.
Chronicler wrote:The factory was in full swing as production of plasteel and ceramite was fused to create Alpha and Beta frames and plating.
Great write up!

Allusion to my one-off alternity where the US government has a Roswell'ed Zentraedi Scout Pod and a Meltraedi in a coma floating in a treatment tank?
And, great zot, if you got the Ultramarines, would having the Reasonable Marines(or the Knights Inductor) on standby be hoping too much?
Angry Marines would just shatter all reality BECAUSE THEY HATE SO MUCH!!!!
I also watch The Emperor has a text-to-speech episodes. Has me laughing a lot.
