Lopan Update
Well I'm please to say I've finished writing the manuscript. I'll now spend a month or so editing,
cutting, and polishing it up before I send it in for Kevin approval. All I can say this book got huge
which why I had to separate Phi from it. This is a book just like all the others in the PF cannon
involves he entire island kingdom of Lopan and its two closest neighbors. Lots of fun adventure
stuff to do here. No major baddies like the Iceborn but lots of old favorites. Maybe around
Bizantium size or a little bit bigger, but Kevin can always add or subtract. I also wanted to make
that rather easier this time around. If major edits come make sure it doesn't effect other things,
so we don't have any more Red Barnacle Armors incidents.

One out of three questions answered.
As for the other two, I can say yes but we won't know until the final product is
completed. Which I'm editing at this very moment.

Re: Lopan Update
Still editing away on 2nd draft. Manuscript is printed out and as I go through line by line, its so annoying to find silly
errors, not so much the spelling and grammar, but sentences that don't even make sence or they're redundant. The worse
part is you edit on the screen, you talk aloud to someone one right off the screen. Everything makes sense and sounds
clean. You print it out, read it over, and nothing makes a lick of sense . Been doing this for over 20 years and it doesn't
get any easier. The goal is to turn in a manuscript that Kevin and company can revise with relative ease. Very frustrating.
To the point you get tried of looking at thing. But that's the nature of the beast that is writing fiction. It my passion and I
enjoy every bit of the irritation, but sometimes its get under skin. That's why you have to love doing this otherwise it very
easy to throw in the towel.

Re: Lopan Update
Good luck with it all, if you ever need to throw strange sounding sentences at someone feel free to pm me, I'm on the other side of the world so am up at those wee hours in the American morning when nothing makes sense.
I'm not an editor but do lots of reading, and I'm more than happy to help and can keep things quite when I have to.
Maybe ill be able to get armour spelt properly
but otherwise thanks for all the work on another hopefully published soon fantasy book.

Re: Lopan Update
I am pleased to announce Lopan is DONE! The finished manuscript will be sent to
Palladium Books in multiple forms by the end of the week. We shall see how welcome it
recieved and I'm hoping to brainstorm with Kevin at Gen Con as I prepare to tackle Phi
(which is only a third of the way written). From this point on all updates on Lopan
depend upon the Palladium crew. With any luck any edits, additions, or rewrites will
occurr much easier than they did for Bizantium.

Re: Lopan Update
This is not a Lopan Update, but a Phi Update. Nearly 85-95% done writing the original
manuscript. Then comes the hard part, the first draft editing. I was hoping to have this
bad boy done before Christmas, but when I seperated Phi from Lopan, I left out some
really important stuff . So it was back to the drawing board (or monitor) while took
the time to make the repairs. The two islands are entirely different from one another
even though they are allied neighbors who seem to go hand in hand in the affairs of
the world.
No new world on Lopan manuscript, but if word changes be sure to keep the PF
involved.

Interesting, did not know they got separated! Cannot wait for Phi, even more than Lopan! The magic of that place should be truly unique!

Re: Lopan Update
Well the cat's out of the bag so to speak. Kevin has announced that Garden of the Gods is connected to Lopan and Phi.
We got a great merger of idea going on, most of which I know nothing about. So I'm looking forward to see it as the
rest of you.

Re: Lopan Update
Lopan is such an awesome place, there will now be three books about the island.
Garden of the Gods (takes place there), Lopan (sourcebook), and the Lopanic Games.

That's pretty cool to hear. Any idea on release dates on any of them yet?

As of the latest Weekly Update, late 2017-2018. There are five books that Kevin intends to get out by summer, along with three Rifters. Given the pace of publishing (Kevin generally takes 2-3 months of editing/writing per book, give or take), plus RRT Wave 2, I'll be pleasantly surprised if we see more than Garden of the Gods this year. One Fantasy book per year is what I'm hoping for.

There are 5 Rifters, as there is still one left over from last year. They have not produced 4 books and 4 Rifters in many years. I am ever hopeful, but realistic.... One or more of the books will be late, or I will be pleasantly surprised...

Re: Lopan Update
Well Phi is done, however I'm not going to send the manuscript in until the Lopan
Sourcebook is done (2017/2018). Remember initially the two books were one book
until the idea came to seperate them. Now Lopan is three books although GoG is
more about the Garden and stuff then actually Lopan. Nevertheless I'm going to hold
up incase I have to make some changes to Phi when its relatively easy to do and still
in my hands. With Phi done, I'm going to take some time off to work on a non
-Palladium project for a while but do some writing for the Rifter and work on my Gen
Con 2017 campaign. I'm guessing around summer I'll start writing on my next
Palladium Fantasy subject...all I will say about it is this...goblins, orc, ogres, and trolls (lots of them).

I can't wait to see a new title released.
Sounds like we may be getting a future release about some kingdom of old.
