Murmurs 6-16-17
"Television. A television production company is developing a Palladium I.P. as a television series. A writer has been hired and is working on the pilot and series outline. Our apologies, we cannot identify the company or the I.P. at this time, but it is not Rifts®."
I really hope its not dead reign, any other IP would be more interesting than a zombie show.
Here is to hoping for nightbane or Palladium Fantasy......I bet its dead reign though sadly.

I dont know what about deadreign would make it desireable as a tv show...but sign me up for some zombies.
I could see nightbane. glittery angsty vampires and creatures of the night are still popular.

Hi all!
Regarding the specific I.P. they are working with, under our Non-Disclosure with the production company I'm not allowed to say much beyond "it is not Rifts". However, what I can say is that they are not looking to create another Walking Dead.
I know this doesn't help much, but until the project gets a final contract we have to keep things under wraps. But that doesn't mean you all can't speculate or say what you'd love to see...![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/wink.gif)

Beyond the Supernatural could make a great TV show.
Market seems right for it.

That "it is not rifts" is fine with me.
Besides I've been around a while and have things be late, change from the org. concept and sort of dissapper.
So the thing I would suggest is that accept that they have announced that it is being worked on, but don't get too hyped about it.
I am pretty sure it is not going to be RT ether.
If I had to guess it would be _____. Wait wait…nope not going to guess.
P.S. murmurs are posts on the board, and are not the weekly e-mail newsletters.

Well with things like american gods on TV now there definitely is a market for the edgier dark fantsay noir type stuff.

NB is easily the best and most adaptive for a TV show with a different spin on such things that are currently proving popular.

Re: Murmurs 6-16-17
I don't know, Recon would be the cheapest to do. Since you don't need high levels of CGI.
PFRPG - Fantasy, and it's high level. Too much CGI and the production costs would be high
Heroes Unlimited - I'd like to see something here, but like above.
RIFTS - they said it's not this
Splicers - too much CGI
Nightbane - too much CGI
Beyond the Supernatural - this one might be doable, limited CGI potential
RECON - another good choice like BTS - limited CGI
Ninja's and Superspies - This is probably my favorite choice. Limited CGI and probably would do well because of Iron Fist
After the Bomb - only if Jim Henson's crew is involved (which may be doable - that is how Farscape was brought about after all...)
Mechanoids - not so sure
RIFTS Chaos Earth - not sure about this one. I would love to see live action of a post apocalyptic setting. but it's probably not going to happen, and too much CGI

I would be surprised if it was recon, no need to use Palladium ip for nam.
Palladium fantasy doesnt have to cost loads, no more than say the xena/conan show budgets. Or top end it and make it game of thrones which is also not to pricey if you remove the actors fees

Recon doesn't have to be 'Nam based. The stories are cross culture and time, but it would probably be more modern.

I agree, but there is still no need to rent the IP then , just pick a war and do a story line no?

Both of these could be done in the vein of Supernatural, Lost Girl, or any of the CW DC shows. They can pull it off without too much CGI.

Have the commitment of weekly murmurs from Kevin and Scott already dribbled to a halt?
It over a week for Scott, but he does have today and tomorrow to fit it in 'this week'.
It is almost 3 weeks since hearing from KS.

Sorry about that - we've been working to get Secrets of the Atlanteans finished and lost track of the time. I will be posting my next Murmur later today, and will ask Kevin to get one in this weekend.
