What "armor" powers are there?

Unread post by Cyber-Knight »

I'm looking for as many options for powers which create a suit of armor around you as possible. I'm a bit unsatisfied with the options I know of so far, and I was hoping someone could point me to some other options I may have missed. So far I'm familiar with the following:

- Bio-Armor
- Ectoplasmic Armor
- Matter Expulsion: Metal/Steel

So are there other "armor" powers that I don't know about? Barring other powers, are there any powers which can be used to improve any of the above? Thanks.

Do you have any of the "Powers Unlimited" books?

The "Junk Yard" power (PU-3 pg 71) let you create armor any type of trash (paper, wood cardboard, metal, etc.)

No ones mentioned Force Aura?
Damn ICE/BCP/BorderPatrol! Damn everyone who won’t damn ICE/BCP/Border Patrol!! Damn everyone that won’t put lights in his windows and sit up all night damning CE/BCP/BorderPatrol!!!
If you support ICE/BCP/BorderPatrol at this point, you would have called the Gestapo on the people surreptitiously moving into your neighbor's attic and huffed that you were only following the law.

Force Field also has that option, although Force Aura is better because your bonus SDC comes with a natural AR.

With multiple powers I wonder if the player gets to choose to layer inner/outer as they please? Or rotate them?

Oh Power Touch could arguably heal some armors. Would take a GM"s ruling a think.
Can also "enhance" yourself IIRC.....

Never thought of using Power Touch to restore Force Aura, I like the idea.

This makes me wonder if we aren't given a healing rate if we should have armor heal like humans.

All SDC from powers heals at 4D6 every 10 minutes.

Question for the OP: What made you unsatisfied with the choices you already knew about?

seems to me that being super powered is slightly better than having armor, in general.

But being able to regenerate quickly is more useful still.

For what it’s worth, you could just play an Enchanted Weapon hero: whatever else the weapon does, it also lets the hero insta-change into a “battle dress” superhero costume that can explicitly look like armor, while boosting the hero’s resistance to injury.

(Now, that’s pretty much just a special effect if the weapon in fact makes its wielder invulnerable: suddenly looking armored right as the hero actually becomes immune to conventional weapons, or whatever. But if that’s the effect you’re going for, then what’s the difference?)
