I was looking at creating a few ASC characters to add to my pregenerated characters for conventions and I could not find XP charts for any of the OCCs or notes about what charts they might use. Later books like the Marine SB say under each OCC what chart it uses and the New Generation SB has it's own and even the Zentraedi OCCs in Macross say which chart to use but nothing for Masters.
First, did I miss something? If it is clarified in the book can I get a page reference? If it isn't just wondering what charts people use.
I figure ATAC and TASC are Veritech chart and GMP probably Military Specialist but just wondering.

Nope. To my knowledge they just fudged it.
We still use 1st ed for these classes. At least in the way of finding the closest corresponding chart from 2e.
I think there is one unit with which this is just too jarring and we still keep the old one, possibly the CDU? I'm not sure... This was another player's Pc.
I would have to check.
My T.C. characther is thus using the Pathfinder & Patcher one.
Technically civilians from Macross Saga have the same problem and we also still use 1st ed for them.
If I remember correctly. (I would have to share notes with the GM to be sure.)

Re: Masters Saga SB 2e Experience Charts
Unfortunately, I can't find additional XP t[*]ables in any of the supplements, & Expeditionary Force Marines is the only sourcebook that says "use table X". So the problem actually exists in nearly every situation.
That being said, I would recommend the following:
And to flesh out the Zentraedi (since the UEDF uses the same OCCs as the UEEF):
I'm not even going to try to figure out what the Civilian OCC (from Macross Sourcebook) or the various non-UEDF OCCs (from New Generation Sourcebook) would use, but if I had to guess I'd say Enlisted Crewman (maybe Battloid Ace tops).
That being said, I would recommend the following:
- I would agree that TASC & ASC should use the Veritech Pilot table
- TAF should probably use Military Specialist, or possibly Battloid Ace
- TSC, CDU, & TC should use Enlisted Crewmen
- GMP should definitely use Military Specialist
- CDFC should maybe use Battloid Ace
And to flesh out the Zentraedi (since the UEDF uses the same OCCs as the UEEF):
- High Lord should use Veritech Pilot table (possibly Overlords as well, but they're NPCs anyway)
- Warlords & Auxiliary Specialists should use Technical Officer/Military Specialist table
- Warrior Elite should use Battloid Ace table
- Warrior Infantry should use Enlisted Crewman Table
I'm not even going to try to figure out what the Civilian OCC (from Macross Sourcebook) or the various non-UEDF OCCs (from New Generation Sourcebook) would use, but if I had to guess I'd say Enlisted Crewman (maybe Battloid Ace tops).

I was looking at 1e as well for ideas, the problem is that some of the OCCs (especially the Tactical Corp) that I'm not sure they would apply anymore.
As for your character to me this is the problem, I would put TC on the same chart as the Military Specialist or at least the Enlisted Servicemen given their skills.

Marines does cover all of it's OCCs but most of the other books do too:
New Generation has it's own XP charts on page 35
Genesis Pits has only 2 OCCs, the Scientist says on page 85 to use Mil Spec chart and the simulgent uses the invid prince one from Genesis Pits
As for Macross SB

All of these are listed in the book:
High Lord on pg. 109 says to use Mil Spec.
Warlord pg. 110 says to use Mil Spec.
Warrior Elits pg. 111 says to use Mil Spec.
Auxiliary Specialist pg. 112 says to use tech officer which is same as Mil Spec.
Infantry Warrior pg. 114 says to use Enlisted Crewman.
Thay can be found in the stat block between MDC and height.

I have never had anyone ask to be a civilian and truthfully I think most people at a convention would hate it as they come to Robotech for mechs, but I would say maybe enlisted or the Pathfinder chart from Genesis pits.

I think the only one I disagree with is maybe TC but yeah this probably makes sense.

I missed those going through the first time, but I was mainly skimming, & wasn't too concerned since there were only 2 OCCs there...

Son of a...I was reading those really carefully, can't believe I missed them...at least I hit maybe 50/50 on them...

Pathfinder would probably be good, or maybe Urchin.

TC was a tough one for me, & I was on the fence as well. My main reason for it is that UEEF Marines in the Shadow Chronicles book, as well as the Marine Infantry OCC from Expeditionary Force, all use the Enlisted Crewmen table, & the TC (including the specialty MOS options) seemed like the ASC's flavor of "ground-pounding Devil Dogs".
