Telekinetic Acceleration Attack (10, 20) from Rift Ultimate Edition.

Can it be used to hurl a handgrenade off the ground or in mid air back at the sender or anywhere else?

Going off the examples in the description, NO you CANNOT do either example. While there is no weight limit listed per item, the implication on the list of examples is for light weight items (coins, arrows, pencil/pens, small stones*) and not something as "large" as a handgrenade (off hand a grenade has a weight of around 1lb IINM in Rifts and even in the Real World). The mid-air thing is outside of the scope of the ability/power, you can do that with regular/super-TK though (likely as a parry option).

*small stones is a highly relative term, though the list examples help to put this in context.
