Barbarian Keeper abilities

Unread post by Soldier of Od »

Hi everybody.
Question: does the Barbarian Keeper O.C.C. (Northern Hinterlands, page 179) get to choose three special abilities, same as the Barbarian Warrior?
The description of the Barbarian Keeper O.C.C. says "Fundamentally the same as Warriors except as noted", and then goes on to note differences in alignment, skills, and equipment, but does not say there are any differences to the Special O.C.C. Abilities if the Barbarian Warrior, so that would mean they are the same, right?
The "feel" of the O.C.C. seems like they shouldn't have the special abilities, but the text seems to say they do. What do you think?

Well, based on the description I'd say that they do NOT receive those bonuses. They are listed in the Barbarian Warrior section only, not in some "Benefits of all barbarian OCC's" section so I'd limit it.

I agree that the abilities shouldn't be applied to all O.C.C.s a barbarian may choose (shaman, blacksmith or whatever), but the Barbarian Keeper O.C.C. has that specific note that says "Fundamentally the same as Warriors except as noted", and Warriors get those abilities. I'm not trying to argue the case, I just want to be more certain before I make the call either way.
