anyone else having trouble accessign the search?

so i've basically been unable to use the search at all for at least the last month. i keep getting "Sorry but you cannot use search at this time. The server has high load. Please try again later."

even at 2 in the morning when the only users are me and four bots. (Ahrefs [Bot], Bing [Bot], Google [Bot], Semrush [Bot])

is the forum located on server hardware for some particularly active other forum, or is something up?

Yup, been going on for quite a while. It's annoying, but when it happens (which is most of the time), I shrug it off and manually go to each section to check for updates. For searching a specific topic, I just use Google to search the forum site which gives pretty decent results usually. I don't think this had anything to do with the board update, as it was happening to me before that. I'm just happy to have the forum up and running Not a fan of the madness that is Reddit etc.

Yeah, search seems broken. Even at off-peak hours? Definitely an issue on their end, not user traffic. Hope they fix it soon.

It works for me 50/50 of the time. Not sure what the issue is, but I know Rex that handles the backend stuff is aware.

Hi all,
I've made a tweak and we'll see if it improves. Please keep letting me know how it's going. The palladium website gets attacked by bot farms every so often and it really kills the server resources. We're doing our best to keep everything up and available, but the internet can be a burdensome place sometimes.

i have the same sort of problem, i'm logged in but i cannot access my account, even though i get posts in my feed i cannot comment at them it gives me "please login", i can't see the stories; But somehow i can still message people

Instead of using the Search function from the main page, try using the search function of individual forums. That Search works.

It sounds like you're having a separate issue. I would try clearing your browser cache/cookies or trying another browser for a bit to see how that works. Seems like something is stuck and is partially letting you log in, but isn't letting you do other things. I'm betting clearing your cache will help.
