Well this spell of legend has made an appearance in a game and I have some questions about it.
1. Would Impervious To Fire negate the damage done by the spell? Or, since the flames are "cool" would you need impervious to cold?
2. Assuming you pass the horror factor check, how far into/through the wall can you see?
3. Can you teleport around it or use Mystic Portal to "tunnel" through it?
4. This is pedantic, but the wall does damage straight to HP. Does that mean it doesn't do any SDC damage to non living automatons?
5. What's to stop someone from simply flying OVER the wall?
6. Would it affect non-corporeal beings?

Re: Crimson Wall. Of Lictalon
1. I'm not sure either would be appropriate for two reasons:
A. its a Spell of Legend, so I would think it wouldn't be easily resisted
B. the cold flames might be an "illusion" as they are composed of "for within the flames are the shadows of the souls it has devoured."
2. Making the save won't change how far you can see AFAIK, the flame-walls are still there so depending on what level of transparency.
3. I don't see teleport being blocked (requirements for teleport might still prevent this), and Mystic Portal technically requires the wall to be solid (the wall is not solid) or cast upon a solid surface (teleportation).
4. If a creature (ordinary, CoM, or SN) stays "in the wall" for more than 30seconds they get absorbed into it forever and join the shadows of the souls previously mentioned, which IINM the constructs under consideration lack. So I could see the construct walking through it without issue (assuming it doesn't have anything to qualify as a soul*). If it could attack a construct, then it could also attack the characters gear (which at 6d6 would wipe out clothe armor on a minimum roll never mind the characters "non-armor" clothing).
5. This is going to be situational, but assuming you have room to fly yes that is a valid option. If I'm reading the description right that is 50x50x25ft deep, so 50ft high and 50ft wide and 25ft deep (depth is per level, or all of them?). I don't think any flying spell is that limited by the height of 50ft (now if it goes up by level...)
6. If they are vulnerable to magic I would say yes, but they likely also qualify as a CoM/SN being anyway.

Not normal flame, it isn't cold burn or hot burn and seems to be more aura burn.
2. Assuming you pass the horror factor check, how far into/through the wall can you see?
I'd guess it would be an intense swirling light source so not far, maybe 10ft
3. Can you teleport around it or use Mystic Portal to "tunnel" through it?
Sure, they don't pass through the normal space, though i would listen to arguments about it stopping it. 5000 ppe is a lot.
4. This is pedantic, but the wall does damage straight to HP. Does that mean it doesn't do any SDC damage to non living automatons?
Lol
5. What's to stop someone from simply flying OVER the wall?
Absolutely nothing
6. Would it affect non-corporeal beings?
as creatures of magic yes. A spectre with a few insanities would be a lot of fun to play.
7. What happens when you cast it inside a castle, does it still have its area effect, so people have to stagger through corridors to get free.
