In recent time, I've been overlooking old session summaries of a big AtB campaign I was a player in a bit back, spurred on by potentially getting to play/GM in a new AtB game. I'm rather fond of these, and was also curious of memories others might share. Got one highlight, our big battle to defend Las Vegas.
A large army of robots and humans assaulted the city with the goal of stopping us from learning the location of three keys that would allow us access to Area 51, which held a pre-Death military AI the Empire wanted to use back on the east coast for unknown reasons, hidden in the underground areas of the base. We helped rally the population, nearby factions like Raphael's ninja clan and the Desert Rangers, various settlements, and friendly Synths for the battle. We were fighting cyber commandos in the sewers, tank bots and minigun-wielding nuns in the streets, powered armored humans with plasma guns in casinos. Very future war from Terminator. We withstood the siege and brought the cities air defenses back online to start taking out the air assault. We got a lot of xp from this and thankfully none of us died. And that was only the halfway point of the Mojave arc we did.
I'll post some more moments, but for anyone else here: What are some highlights you have from AtB games? Memorable characters and stories? Intense fights and setpieces? What moments stand out to you as your favorites?

Re: After The Bomb Campaign Highlights
Got another one. It was during our first journey into Long Island for a search and rescue. We needed to rescue a Cardanian double agent that had learned the location of an underground weapons vault that Isaac Crowe wanted to unseal to help prepare for his conquest of the rest mainland. We busted him out and fought through bird soldiers, like flame troops, and guys with rifles and super sledges. We found the vault and sealed it by changing its entrance code, then called in an evac chopper from a turncoat in Crow's regime, and he would meet us at the top of the nearby abandoned bank with a helipad.
We got into the bank, only to find out it was one of several ninja dojos that were a part of Crowe's army. On que, several masked, black clad eagles dropped from above or backflipped into the room. So we mowed our way through a building full of ninjas. Turkeys, sparrows, crows, roosters, eagles, and so on. After getting to the roof with the chopper almost there, we spotted a swarm of winged ninja birds like falcons and sparrows flying towards us, all pajama'd out. A few had weapons, but most opted to fight with karate, or stay in the air while throwing poisoned shuriken. We killed a few, but most got evaporated from the chopper firing it's gun (though my guy did break one's wings before kicking him off the building). The party killed the remaining ninjas before hightailing it out of there, while having another chopper chase us through skyline for a bit. Our soldier shot it down with a well placed shot from her grenade launcher, allowing us to get the hell out of dodge.
This is one I could being turned into a proper adventure scenario for other players.
