thers 43 leftthe breakdown is this 3 Aircraft Carrier,8 Battleships,8 Destroyers,12 Frigates, 12 Cruisers and 5 Submarines.
they also save 70 Civilian ships that were teleported by the Mediterranean Triangle too.
Like I say before they stop at Spain, where they discover a underground Military base with MD Manufacturing Equipment and put some Mdc Body Armor,Weapons and Vehicies into Storage.
What Name do you think I should them?

I am not sure I follow the reasoning of there needing to be a bigger loss. This was golden age tech versus one Splugorth ship. Eight Battle Ships and three Aircraft carriers alone should be able to spank the Sploogs if the Ticonderoga could best a mother ship on it's own without the loss of more than one or two vessles.
I know the Ticonderoga was cutting edge but I would imagine the Battleships would have similar firepower minus the fighters and power armors of course. Then there is eight of them. That is unless the Sploogs hit the civilian ships hard and fst right off the bat which makes little sinse to me as you then leave yourself open to the fire from the cruisers battleships and waves of fighters/armors from the carriers.

One thing to think about regarding the battle ships: The way tech is going today, battle ships are really obsolete because the aircraft on an Aircraft Carrier easily out distances and over powers the 16 inch guns (and bigger), that the battle ships sported. Also, the new line of thinking is usually a missile cruiser type that bristles with cruise missiles in support of the main Aircraft Carrier, usually with several accompanying each AC. So, I am not at all saying there would be no battle ships (I love those things!!!), but just keep in mind that you should think of something really big and powerful they would have to seperate them from the smaller, really lethal missile cruisers. Also, don't forget the subs!! --GJ.

correct any mistakes in this idea, i probably am wrong
Maybe they lucked out and had an "old salt", that everyone made fun of due to his knowledge being obsolete, actually knew how to navigate through the seaways without the need of a computer or satellites.

and navigation via star and sun is still taught in all navies.
the sun, moon, and stars are unlikely to have changed.

I had been wondering something like this for months...what would happen if a star would go out in a easily identifiable constellation?
example:
the middle star of orion's belt (the beltbuckle?)
the star that joints the handle and the pot of the big dipper?
