Unread post by gaby »

They and the Coalition would immediately hop into bed together, as it were lol. Everyone else would prolly just think of them as some sub-sect of the Coalition.

Ya exactly... the Empire would do its research before contacting the Coalition, since they're not the Empire of 'Tards but rather of Humanity... and I never bought into the GM plot device of certain people just "knowing" things. I know when I run my NPCs don't know anything they have no real reason to know...

Don't you think after the Juicer Uprising the Coalition might be a TAD suspicous of another 'human' ally appearing out of nowhere? I'm sure they'd be curious at least as to WHERE these people all came from and why no one had heard of them till now.

Just remember that there is a Native American Preserve rather close by. Otherwise I'm not really familiar with them, though the others saying the CS would shoot them is accurate.
Now FQ on the other hand might be a different story.

The first time one of them moves too close a CS Psi-Bat guy.. and thinks during the negotiation. "Good thing they don't know we are from another dimension......"

CS: Oh really?

EoH: Crap.

<BANG>

And of course he autmatically fails his save vs. psionics...

I half agree... the question is : *will* the CS know they are D Bees?
After all, they are 100% human, look perfectly normal, even speak english... unless they sport some obviously weird/alien tech or equipment, it's dubious that the CS will even suspect them of having been rifted... even if they themselves know what happened to them.

BTW... do you really think that, even if they understand things that way, that their extra dimensional origin would be foremost in their minds, just waiting to be picked up by a telepath? I guess they would have other stuff to think of.

I doubt the Coalition is the only human kingdom out there... they'd probably be a bit suspicious to begin with, but at the same time overjoyed to find another group which shares most of their views... they opened up negotiations with Columbia after all, and that nation has more against it than the Empire of Humanity ever would. And I'm sure the Empire of Humanity would do research and by Rifts earth equipment before talking to the CS, especially to make themselves look like they belong... not to mention they come from an SDC setting and would need MDC armour and weopons.

And no one wonders where they came from or where they've been all this time? :p

It's hardly the ONLY human Empire but they might wonder where another one that seems to be advanced came from but doesn't have much MDC tech came from. Plus there is the story of where have they been etc. I mean the Coalition even KNEW about the existance of the Republicans, not much more, but they knew about them. I think they'd be much more suspicious of a tech nation suddenly popping up wanting to be their friend might raise a few hackles. ESPECIALLY after the Jucier Uprising Fiasco and the giant bugs.
