slight contradiction here. . .
why is it that, in World Book 8, Rifts Japan, the AT-130 is listed as the only particle beam pistol of human design on earth. . .
when in World book 5, Triax and the NGR, they have TX-26 Particle Beam Pistol already

Not to mention that in Juicers, he introduced the NG 45 LP ... I guess that Carella just never noticed the TX 26

true, but as far as the juicers and timeline go, that was World Book 11, and Japan was 8. it could have been that it WAS the only PB pistol of human design by humans, but then someone else developed the tech, if it wasn't for Triax having jumped the gun, so to speak.

the Rifts Sourcebook 1 (Archie book) mentions some of the Triax goodies way back then, so I think it's safe to assume their pistol was out then. I didn't see any NG but I only skimmed it.
Juicer Uprising was WB Book 10.
the Q&A section is kinda funny.
naaa, Soursebook One dosn't have the TX-26. I think it was a slightly later developemnt, but before Rifts Japan in any case.

Well... what's for sure is that Triax was published before Carella started working on Japan...
I'd say there's a double flub : one for carella never noticing that Triax had made a PB gun, and one for Kev for letting that "only human made PB pistol" thing pass through editing.

You're saying the TX-26 was a later development because World Book 5 was published after Sourcebook 1?

well. . . slightly yea.
regardless, both are before Rifts japan, so it's also a non-issue.

Well if you go off of the first conversion book, it tell us under the Race of Dwarf, that many of them work in the NGR for Triax itself. And a Rahu Man is a NGR leader. So perhaps one of those D-bee races made, or at least helped in the design of the partical beam pistol for Triax. And the Jap's design was a totally human inovation. This explanation at least keeps both books accurate.
But honestly...who cares?
