Sorry man but they are both fascist racists.

It is nice to see that if aliens come to kill us so many of you will lay down and die without so much as putting up a fight. Cowards and race traitors, I would never sell out the human race. Did you hear me HUMAN not black, white, asian, indian, catholic, jewish, muslim, hindi, male or female!

OK fascist speciesest then.
Same difference.

I think someone needs a nap.
I wouldn't "sell out" the race per se, though if a technologically advanced race were to appear and wish to visit, and some mindless slug decided to vape them just for not being human, and thus start a war, I can tell you which side I'd be on.

Chello!

"Must steer on target...."

;)

Gotta agree on the Morgan Freeman thing. Ever see "Outbreak"? The way the Army cordons off that town to isolate the infection with Freeman in charge....that would be the CS in action.

Rutger Hauer would make a good CS just based off of his portrayal of a Nazi detective in "Fatherland."

And the Psi Corps officers in Starship Troopers....now they looked like CS officers, black trench coats and all. They had that evil stylish thing going. Of course, I don't think Doogie Howser would make a good CS officer...hmmm...maybe some whiz-kid working for Desmond Bradford at Lone Star! Yeah, that's the ticket! He could team up with Wil Wheaton! And we could resurrect Roddy McDowell to play that chimp scientist in early strips of the Rifter!

Ok, well... your home is destroyed. Your families way of life is living in the dumpsters (Aka Dark Age, or "Mad Max") I really think you should read the main book. Its not like a typical sunny morning and *poof* the earth is infested by D-Bees. Those D-Bees where here for years, they too have a home and family and a way of life. And they too would be Patriots for standing up against the new enemy the CS.

:D

Nicely put!! Unfortunatly the head of propoganda isn't gonna paint that nice little picture for the masses. Instead the vicious Cactus Peaple should be slaughtered. They are an abomination to earth plant life everywhere. Who knows what evil plots they are plotting? If you let them take root, they will pop up everywhere! Like dandilions! Here's your weedeater, go get em men!!

Nice threadjacking goin' on here... :nh:

Anyhoo, the CS do what they do for survival. You can try to paint a picture of the CS killing D-bee babies if you want. However, the CS protects millions of humans from extinsion at the hands of supernatural forces... the Nazi thing is way overrated. I see the CS being Nazi's about as much as I see the patrons at Mcdonalds being hamburgers...

Considering the fact that the books say Prosek modeled his government after the Nazi's I'd say you're looking at the wrong place in McDonalds for a hamburger. :p

None of us have to paint a picture of the CS killing civilians and children, Kevin and his artists do it for us. Cases in point:

SoT 1, pgs: 108, 110
SoT 2, pg: 14
SoT 6: pg 184

The published material lays it out that way, not the fans. If one wants the CS to be paladins in their games, fine and dandy. More power to you. As they are presented to us though, they're not only not saints but exercise authorized barbarity as bad or worse then any faction did in the Balkans Homeland War. If Kevin didn't want the Coalition to be an example of 'noble cause twisted into irrationale hate' he would have given us NEMA, not Dead Boys.

Nah, that is just a few isolated examples, and it was during a time of Total War... no the CS dose more to protech the humans of NA than any other force in NA. No painting nessisary...

Okay to the REAL topic of this thread...Dreamcatcher was a good flic and possibly could be showed in an editted/respliced form in the CS if it is showed in the way of showing the demonic and horrible nature of aliens/d-bees and how they have been plaguing the Earth since before the Rifts...in other words...make it grainy and say it was documentary footage...Blair Witch might work that way also if used in relation to SoulHarvest or the Federation of Magics claim on land.

Normally I dont get into this anti-CS poo that keeps popping its head up whenever it behooves anyone at any drop of any hat on any dimension of the megaverse, because people always make the worst assumptions(remember the saying about those?) of the people supporting the CS, but there is one thing that always keeps popping up

The mowing down of "civilians" by the CS

Who says they are civilians/non-combatants? The pictures? Why, cause they dont have armor on and packing Deathbringer swords? Pardon me, but until World Book 16 (a book that has been brought up on this board as being partly responsible for power creep), mages were supposed to be the smart-RPers choice due to the fact that you have to pick your battles and use your head while playing for once.

Now I know there has been the "Use dog boys to sense the mages and psychics and let everyone go"...any mage, psychic, or shapeshifter worth their salt can hide their true nature and delight in taking non-threatening forms to manipulate people with a hesitation in their minds. Just look at the Red Child from Rifts China or any other of the multitude of demons.

"But Pox...the d-bees have been here for possibly hundreds of years and didnt mean to come here in the first place." You know what? There are plenty of shifters and plenty of other dimensions where they can find an easier time of it than Rifts frickin Earth. I know that If I was dropped in a neighborhood that was hostile towards me tomorrow...I would be on the first bus out of there and NOT trying to take a corner of the park and just assume people will just get used to me.

Those are just a few of my thoughts on this proverbial beaten to death horse of a topic.

Oh...and Christian Bale as Joe Prosek and DiNiro as Karl...I just wish that Joe from Resevoir Dogs wasnt dead so he could be Cabot (though I heard he was an a$& to work with on set from "Dinner for Five")
