Now my idea and I hope it become official someday, it's about an American name James who got flug into a Rift in the 20th Century like Lazlo but he wasn't like him he wasn't research the supernatural or werid he was a American Revolution reactor when he got sucked into the Rift. He arrived Riftside during the fall of Tolken and James discovered that traveling through the Rift that altered his body making him Superhuman giving James a body that anyman would kill for, while discovering this new America it slowly dawned on him that it wasn't the land that he lived in. Also he saw that America was ruled over by the CS and he didn't like what he saw. Also he saw the Token war first hand, and he decided that America needed heroes and goodness. So James became Minuteman the most heroic and wanted man in the CS, next to Lazlo that is. At the end of Tolken Minuteman helped refuges fleeing from Tolken, this was the first sighting of the Super outside of the CS. This is also when started attracting like minded people to his cause,

The part of tranforming into a superman from transporting through a rifts sounds oddly like the Den story from Heavy Metal the movie. Isn't the name Minuteman from the X-comish Superhero game that came out in the last year or two? HIS cause uh wouldn't that be the same cause of Lazlo and New Lazlo as well as Psyscape and The Kingdom of Magic? I think people who have already been in the Rifts world that know about these cities that are "like" minded to you are probably more impressed by the inhabitants of these cities than a single lonewolf. Now the inhabitants of the cities may find you impressive and actually ask that you join their cause wanting a hero of your quality to help them help the world or something like that.

..ZeroKay kinda hit it on the head, in a gramatically round about way.

..The idea is sound, you should run with it, but it's not likely to become canon. As Z said, a lone wolf hero isn't going to stand out like you're imagining, as most anti-CS characters are lone-wolfs.

..Superbeings are viewed as just another D-Bee; Lazlo isn't on the CS most wanted list, as they've never heard of him, he's in Triax/Germany. And Minuteman is the name from that supers video-game, as well as an NPC from Villians Unlimited, wildman member of the Sentinals of Liberty and Justice.

..You say he's from the 20th century? He'd likely be a militiaman if he's wanting to overthrow todays government, probably an anarchist. Either way the word you were looking for wasn't reactor, it's activist.

Minutman powers are the fact that his stats are pumped up the extreme, that he can out run, out fight, and out lift any being out and inside the CS states.

So can most Juicers? Or are you saying that this is a guy with 99's in all his physical stats?

so he's a Super Soldier... or a Physical Training character, or even a minor super hero.

Run with it, man... but as others said, it's not likely to be something that will fit into everyone's game.

..FYI, the militias of America love america. It's the American government that some of them have a problem with. Being in a militia is a constitutional right, first exemplified by the Minutemen.

Uh capt. America got pumped using drugs...it was the super soldier program. He is a Juicer without the need of the injector system or the short lifespan.

Some of the Militias are nothing more than domestic terrorist. The true deffinition of militia is as follows:

mi·li·tia
n.
1. An army composed of ordinary citizens rather than professional soldiers.
2. A military force that is not part of a regular army and is subject to call for service in an emergency.
3. The whole body of physically fit civilians eligible by law for military service.

The National Guard are supposed to be their replacement and with a standing Military they are unneeded.

Also:

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Is abused by people who simply want to be able to keep unnessary firearms in a personal arsenal. The US doesn't have a militia anymore. Those who took up the name are anti-federalist/government factions. They are not militia. They are traitors to the state but since they live in the US they are allowed to have their oppinion unless they actually do something.

Yeah yeah it's another post but I don't think anyone except military and police should be allowed firearms other than hunting rifles, shotguns and pistols (not including the few machine pistols.) Heck in states where there is no wild life they shouldn't be allowed at all. Except pistols for self defense. No civilian needs an M-60 or M-16.

The current militias are nothing like the Minuteman of the Revolutionary war. They were Patriots loyal to the rising government. The current militias have no rights to form a paramilitary force. No where in the bill of rights does it state citizens unhappy with the way the government is being ran may form a militia to try to overthrow it.

..You are wrong. All militias are not whacko anti-government separatists, just like all people with an irrational hatred of their right to bare arms are not whackos.

..And as I pointed out (to get back on topic), part 2 of your definition is exactly what the Minutemen were.

Or were you referring to the US citizen's Right to bear arms?

one could also argue cars unneeded. just.

just because something is unneeded dosn't mean it should be gotten rid of, and cars kill about if not more people than guns.

oh yes they do. just because you don't agree with them dosn't mean they don't have the right.

No where in the bill of rights does it state citizens unhappy with the way the government is being ran may form a militia to try to overthrow it.

so if you want to form a milita you are automatically trying to overthrow the goverment

As you pointed out?? You pointed out that the Militias around now are the same as Minutemen. They are nothing alike. The Minutemen were civilians who took up arms to fight for their country and with the government against an oppressive distand Tyrrany. The people who call themselves militias now are none of the definitions of Militia. They are often radical groups I don't recall saying anything about whackos. They may be revolutionist but not Militia, I dought they'd answer a call by the government to defend our country. They'd (the non-revolutionist groups) would probably prefer to take up arms on their own thinking they could do it better. I have no irrational fear of my right to bare arms I have an irrational fear of your right or any one that thinks they need an AK-47 to go hunting or a .50 cal sniper rifle for high power long range sport shooting. Like you can't show expertise with a lower power hunting/sporting rifle for target shooting? No bigger, better, me want big gun me also want fast car many girls and much beer. Also need M-60 for deer, pre tenderizes meat. You have a right to bare arms for one reason. Read the second amendment it's for properly equiping a militia. We don't need militias now since we have a large standing military, guard, and a thing called a draft which is what the militia would answer to anyway.

Like you never misspell anything. I've always respected the right to bear arms. I've always wanted to hunt a bear not to get it stuffed or made into a carpet but just so I could make long gloves out of it's forelegs so I could practice my right to Bear arms. Any way people just take it too far.

..Alright, if you want to debate the finer points of our government, it's documents and our rights as citizens, start a thread in Sound Off. You need to go back and reread what I posted because your assertion at the beginning of your last post addressing me is incorrect.

..Back on topic, A superhero Named Minuteman in Rifts would be cool, but would have to be played somewhat like a Rogue Scholar, as most people in the Rifts world aren't familiar with the ancient Empire known as the United States. He'd have to educate people as to his cause, or end up misunderstood like the Minutemen of today.
